Tanao Sri Resort, Hua Hin / Cha-am

This accomadation was equal to a one-star. Really upset at standards and advertised description of resort.

In my experience this is a good option for a relaxing family trip. Be prepared not to find some supplies that you might need. You have to travel to a 7/11 close to the hotel by taxi.

Overall experience is excellent. Have 2 good pools, one is next to beach. Very relaxing place, we just sat by the pool overlooking the ocean... just beautiful! The manager is very good, gave personal care to everyone.

If you want nightlife, a 7-11 and souvenir hawkers within easy walking distance, Tanao Sri isn't a good choice. If you want a quiet, aesthetically-pleasing property with a 5-star staff, it probably is!

The hotel had some nice touches, like a raised wooden walkway over koi ponds, the (only) restaurant facing the ocean, and a pretty infinity pool. However, they need to improve a few things if they want repeat customers and referrals... the breakfast (and the restaurant food in general) was mediocre, the bathrooms (esp. in the villas) need to be upgraded, the hotel needs another van, etc.

For my part, the stay in this resort was successful and without much expense, if you are patient and not too demanding in terms of control.
