Central location, the swimmingpools and Amana Spa

The breakfast, the same every day. And also that the staff do not understand English very well.

The hotel is situated in a quite cul de sac, and within walking distance to the beach, the Night Markets, the Market Village and most of the restaurants. In the cul de sac you will also find Internet cafe, two spas, a really nice coffe shop with very nice cakes.

Shopping Tip : Go to the Market Village

Modern hotel for the price payed.

Modern appearance, room very clean and so was the linen. Great breakfast for Asian American or continental taste. Friendly staff. We travelled by car so parking was sometimes a hit and mis thing in front of the hotel, but the attendant always knew how to get things done. I would definitely stay there again. good value for the money.

Hotel situated within easy reach of beach and Night Market making it ideal location for anyone wanting to explore Hau Hin.

None really

Would I stay there again? Without doubt. Deluxe room is a very good size, tiling and decor done to high standard. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location near bus and rail stations, Starbucks, Swensens, both night markets. Not too far from bars and seafood restaurants on beach. Two good sized pools and very friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Nightlife Tip : Visit the Sasi Dinner Theatre for a very enjoyable meal and great entertainment

Brilliant pool area with food and drink service Clean rooms and the Superior was huge

The breakfast could be a little better

The Tanawit Hotel lived up to my expectations in general but greatly exceeded them when it came to the pool area. I was also very happy with the reasonably priced food and drink that was also available for room service and poolside. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend the Tanawit for all age groups, family and non-family.

Restaurant Tip : For a great sandwich check out the European Bakery in the same courtyard area as the Tanawit. Delicious!

Ideal central location.

Bored pool staff

We arrived 0400 hours after alighting from train. Everything was ready for us. Hotel situated just off centre of HuaHin. Railway, beach, shops and old Hua Hin well within walking distance. Large rooms with balcony. Cleaned regularly. Excellent, included, breakfast. The only minor moan we had was the pool area. Inattentive staff played their own loud dreadful music, thro' knackered speakers. The few people around the pool bar did make comment or left. In fairness, the pool area wasn't that busy and the hotel had too many staff on duty. Certainly would stay here again.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Very good Tourist Information Office nearby. Railway station is worth a visit. Treat yourself to afternoon tea at the nearby Sofitel Hotel museum Cafe.

Good breakfast

Pool staff management

We arrived at 0400 hours after alighting from overnight train. Location ideal. Near to railway station and fairly central. Short walk to town centre and beach. Room spacious and cleaned daily. Good shower and balcony. Breakfast good. Our only minor gripe was the pool music and inattentive pool staff. They played loud music of their choice which did cause guests to comment or just leave the pool sunbathing area. In fairness, when we were there the hotel was not fully occupied and there were too many pool staff with nothing to do. Definately, would stay here again.

Restaurant Tip : Take afternoon tea in the nearby Sofital Hotel.

Its location in Hua Hin was good as we didn't neet to take any taxi or tuktuk to go out for dinners or shopping. Nice big pools ( 2 of them).

Breakfast could be improved. Communication in English was very limited.

If you want to be in the center of town, the location is good. But, not close to the beach. Great pools with pool bar/restaurant. Walking distance from Bus Terminal and Railway station.

Restaurant Tip : Great bakery very close with free Wi-fi.

Location, Swimming pool, Big rooms

Poor room design, Hotel not on the beach, Breakfast not very good

Tanawit Hotel is centrally located and is much nicer than I expected, the room was spacious but poorly laid out, the bathroom had a similar problem. The room looked over the swimming area which is quite pretty with 2 pools and a jacuzzi. Breakfast is very basic and is a bit of a let down. Overall, this hotel is what it says it is, 3 stars, good if you want to explore, not good if you want to relax on the beach.

Restaurant Tip : Food in Market very cheap

The hotel is in a quiet location. Clean rooms with decent bathroom.

The hotel and its rooms fixtures and fittings are looking dated and tired, they need to refurbish the place.

Nice quiet locality in a no through road, which does not suffer from traffic. Close enough to walk to the night markets, down town or to the bar area. The hotel whilst clean, is looking tired and is in need of refurbishment. A great outdoor pool area. Friendly & helpful staff.

Centrally located, clean and inexpensive.

Very poor breakfast. Lazy and inattentive front desk staff.

We stayed only two days in Hua Hin. The rooms were moderate in size but very clean with bathrooms a little on the small side. When the hotel is busy the two small elevators will have difficulty coping. The beakfast was basic, but there is a good bakery 100 metees away. All in all a good inexpensive hotel suitable for the quiet season.

Travel tip : The nearby bakery offered good service and quality breads and pastries as well as a cooked brekfast.

quiet location

incompetent staff, lots of technical problems in the room, lack of cleanliness, rather poor breakfast

The rooms are quite o.k., although the cleanliness left much to be desired, and the balcony was full of bird droppings. Part of the hotel was under renovation. I had a number of technical troubles in my room: On two occasions the aircondition in my room did not work in the morning, and the management sent somebody to fix it (but only late afternoon). During the last night there was a leak from the aircondition, and water entered all over the cupboard, where I had not only stored all my clothes and books, but also 3 bottles of the best red wine which I had bought from a nearby winery. When I opened the cupboard first thing in the morning, the water had soaked the carton box and the bottles fell out and broke. Parts of my clothes and luggage was soaked in red wine (in addition to the water leaking from the aircon). I immediately informed the management. I did not even ask for any compensation for all the soaked clothes, but just for a reimbursement of the cost of the 3 bottles of wine (1.700 Baht). The staff was friendly, but totally helpless and inefficient (partly due to language problems). Only after several hours they got hold by phone of the General Manager who refused compensation, but told the staff to offer one bottle of South African wine. If you want a truely relaxing holiday, stay elsewhere!

Good logation Big rooms

Bad service If late, not much breakfast

We did not have a good start as this hotel. Since our son is over 12 yrs we had to pay extra, and that is ok. What was not OK is that they insisted to put in one extra bed even we said it was ok with the two twin beds. They told us it was against the hotels rule not to put in one extra bed if the child was above 12 yrs. This stupid discussion gave us a very bad impression of the hotel.

good location, quiet environment, friendly personnel.

small parking area

This is the 4th time I spend in Huahin; previous hotels were closer to the beach, however these don't prove to be more attractive as the beach is so near. I enjoyed the pool and found the personnel very helpful. During the stay their was maintenance to the building, so in the afternoon there was drilling and hammering which interfered with my afternoon nap.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : rent a car and go inland!

Nice swimming pool, rooms are new if not a little small but perfect for a couple. Breakfast buffet is decent

My room was opened at 12.30am in the morning while we were sleeping. Thankfully, we used the chained. Since the corridor lights were closed, I was not able to see who it was. We asked for help from the reception & got no help. The security camera was not working (strange). Reception refused to give us name of the hotel manager. Seems like she was protecting someone. Security is a big issue at this hotel especially if it seems like this is an inside job but since the video was erased, hard to determine what really happened.

Good location smack in the small city of Hua Hin. The beaches though in the city are crowded and not so clean. If you are really there for the beaches, try hitting those further away from the city. It is really too bad certain things happened during my stay which really prevented me from truly enjoying my experience at this hotel. The owners seem to have done quite a bit of renovation but staff lacks accountability.

Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel is within walking distance from the train and bus station, 1 km at most. So when you arrive, don't bother paying for the buses, motorcycles etc. Just walk and ask for direction from the locals. Everyone will try to help you as much as they can.
