Excellent pricing and good service. Good clean rooms and good grounds

A little far 25 Km from the town but fine if you have transport. Very few people staying, fine for me but maybe not for others.

Good place to stay, on a par with other resorts I have stayed at on the Kwai. Seemed very quiet in regards to customers maybe 14 including our 6. I would stay there again as I have my own car but this is not so different from a lot of other places through out the Kwai. Value for money is very good as is breakfast and meals.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : hire a car or driver with car

Staff polite and friendly

Very large hotel but only 25% full as lots of English had cancelled for Christmas and new year. Had the place practically to oursleves. Nothing we disliked

You must visit the tiger temple 30 mins from the resort and the waterfalls. They are fantastic and worth the walk to the very source if you are good on your legs. If the walking is too much you can manage the second tier and swim in the beautiful waterfall pool it is so beautiful. Lots of historic things to see and do Hell fire pass, the museums brige over the river kawi. Some of the most stunning countryside in Thailand with the mountains on the west separating Thailand and Myanmar. Fantastic!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : A must Erwan waterfall and tiger temple if you are not into history.

Wonderful location (on the banks of the River Kwai) Friendly and helpful staff

25 km north of Kanchananburi Rooms a little run-down

This hotel is situated approx. 25 km north of Kanchanaburi, on the banks of the River Kwai. (The website states that it is located in the "City Center", which is not true!) The location is wonderful and the hotel facilities are excellent for any who wants a quiet get-away. The hotel is large and caters to large groups and bus tours (often with loud music in private banquet rooms), but this is not a serious problem. There is nowhere else to eat nearby, but the hotel restaurant prices are reasonable. However, the food was inconsistent: some good dishes, some poor. The hotel has Internet services (100 baht for 70 minutes), bicycles for rent cheaply, a snooker room, two large and beautiful swimming-pools. The rooms are large, but can be a little run-down: our room had a badly damaged wall, and no attempt had been made to repair it. The bathroom had both a bath-tub and a separate shower. All in all, good value for money -- but you definitely need your own transportation.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Tiger Tenmple is a popular destination, but be prepared: it costs 500 baht to get in, it closes at 15.45, and it is a TEMPLE: that means that women must be properly clothed (i.e. no shorts or bare shoulders -- not even a shawl will do). Visitors should not wear red clothing.
