Stunning location. We stayed in one of the floating houses on the river kwai,Bathrooms are very basic and have no hot water but its so warm the cold is refreshing.

You are a distance from any of the sightseeing locations and the city centre, taxi fees can soon mount up.

Stunning setting for this hotel with the River Kwai and the misty mountains in the morning, with the deer wandering around the hotel grounds, the fossil trails and amazing lilly pond, tranquil. The floating houses were very pretty, although a little basic inside. I would have expected more for the money. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : close by to the hotel (30 mins taxi) is Hellfire Pass, Tiger Temple and Erewan Falls

Quiet location, choice of rooms - floating houses on the river or bungalows, reasonable breakfast (for a Thai hotel), reasonably priced restaurant, only 10 minutes drive from Hellfire Pass and dawn service for ANZAC day

No visible sign in English from the road - we spent about one hour trying to find the resort. Finally found a policeman who spoke some English.

When we finally found the resort (the sign for the hotel on the main road is behind a tree and is written only in Thai)we were happy with the amenities. The resort is fairly basic style accommodation but clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our wakeup call for 4 am actually eventuated. The resort's close proximity to Hellfire Pass makes it ideal for all those wishing to visit this part of Thailand. The grounds around the resort and calm and peaceful making the experience very restful.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The whole area around the resort is ideal for exploring on bicycle. Kanchanaburi town is well worth a day's discovery. Wander around the small back streets and you will see the 'old Thailand'. Visit the war cemetary and museum in town also.

The views

Staff could do with some English training (Restaurant)

Check in painless thanks to the net. The rooms were very clean well presented, and the mosquito net was much appreciated. A walk around the grounds is a must, the gardens trees and flowers are beautiful. Also the pool is a must as we went in April the hottest time. The restaurant is clean but the foos is not 5 star. (It is 2 hours drive from Bangkok. A trip to the Hellfire Pass Museum is another must.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to Hellfire Pass 20 minutes away
