Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.
We want you to pay the lowest possible rate for your room. If you have reserved a hotel room through Agoda, and then show us that you could book the same room, for the same dates, at a lower rate, that is viewable and bookable on another website, within 48 hours of booking your room with us, we will either match that rate or beat it. A very peaceful and serene place with the most fantastically friendly if inexpert staff from local Mon villages. It is well placed to anywhere you will want to go, Hellfire Pass, the Tiger Temple, Three Pagoda Pass and anything in Kanchanaburi is on the way through.

Note that this hotel is well out of town The hotel is not well sign posted and could be difficult to find. You will need a private vehicle to get here. There is no electricity and all wastewater and effluent is dumped into the river. Eco warriors, not the place for you! there are two sets of rafts one built in thelate 1970's and the other much later. No mention of additional boat transfer of 900THB each round trip by the only means of access.Food very average

This hotel is a series of rafts out in the river moored beside a small Mon village which provides the staff. It is about 100km out of Kanchanaburi and you will need a private vehicle to get there. There are no signs bearing this hotels name on the main road so you will need to start asking directions avout 80km out. Don't speak Thai and no Thai driver forget it! The place is very beautiful and peaceful, spectacular for anyone who has no experience of a jungle, fantasic to sit and have a quiet drink or many as the light fades of an evening. A very appealing thing was that the hotel provides employment for local Mon villagers where no employment would otherwise be avilable and therefore makes a substantial contribution to the economic welfare of the people, it also provides an opportunity through performances to keep their culture alive. Not so good, as is the case with the majority of Thai tourist developments, cash is king and there has been no expenditure of capital unless necessary to make a buck. All waste water and sewerage goes straight into the river. That would be the river where you will be swimming! If you have a strong committment to environmental protection, this is not for you. Be aware there is no electricity, just oil lamps (and with them a fire risk, especially if you can't swim, the river being the only viable fire exit). Children just love the place but be aware and watchful don't let them in unsupervised without a life jacket the current is very, very swift and strong. Also be aware that motor boats with powerful long tail props are always coming and going.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hellfire Pass is a must particularly for Australians, a really moving and poingant experience. The Tiger Temple is a tourist dollar factory but the cash goes to a good cause and hey when will you next be able to cozy up to a 5oo pound tiger. Three Pagodas isn't much but an interesting drive if you get out of the car and mix with the locals as often as possible on the pretext of a cool drink and stretching your legs

Stunning location, isolated and quiet, quaint local village, cute rooms, relaxing swimming

Food was not great People should be warned to take lots of cash

The River Kwai Jungle Rafts Resort was located in the most stunning setting, floating in the middle of the river with cliffs on either side. The lack of electricity was more than made up for with the gorgeous arrangement of candles to light the way. Very romantic and the perfect place to get away from the pollution of Bangkok for a weekend. Floating down the river all day will keep all ages entertained. We will return!

Travel tip : Take lots of cash - there is no way of getting any once you are there and the tours and drinks are expensive.

very romantic no electric on the river

cost of transport 900 baht for a two way trip in long tail boat. Car cost 2300 baht for 6 hours

this is a nice break but expensive to get on and off. The cost are fine if you are travelling as a group as the cost of the boat is amortised across the group. Elephants were fun and floating down the river was great.

Travel tip : take your own transport.and share a boat
