staff is very service minded romantique atmosfere very nice location all furniture en floors is wood from the jungle

bigger flashlights, there is no electricity only oil lamps prices incl. transport a little bit too high

This hotel is a floating hotel with very nice rooms and furniture. There is no electricity, only oil lamps but this is very romantique. In the evening there is a performance of Moon dances. The Moon hill tribe manage this floatel with great enthousiasme. we have visited this floatel already many times but every time we do it with great pleasure because of the quiet surrounding. You feel at home at the moment you arrive with the long tail boat. Everyting is well organised.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : visit the Moonvillage next to the hotel canoeing swimming

Very beautiful, special and unique.

hard to reach, to many large groups of tourist, not the best food.

This is a very idyllic place. The location in and on the jungle valley river Kwai is very special, and the amazing exotic wood crafted hotel makes you feel that you have traveled back in time to the late 1890's. Especially at nigth when everything is illuminated by kerosene lamps only (they have NO electricity) . The young staff is helpful, an the feel is laidback.Ok food, but nothing special about it. P.s: bring a flashlight and a good book. Forget your laptop or cellphone!

Hotel Feature Tip : if you go and see the moon dance, remember that it is not polite to laugh, even if it unintentionally funny...

Beautiful location. Charming people. I loved the hammocks and could have happily swung the day away in mine.

Cash only with no prior indication of what things will cost. The journey to and from the hotel was arduous and took the best part of a day each way (train from Bangkok). The hotel was categorized as "city centre" which is misleading. In the event I was very glad that it was not, but I was not aware when booking how isolated it was.

I spent 2 nights at the hotel with my son. i loved the location and especially the hammocks. We took an elephant ride and a trip on a bamboo raft - both probably a bit tame for him but quite exciting enough for me. We would have spent more at the hotel if we had had more cash with us. Luckily we just about managed to do the things we had gone there for but it would have been very disappointing otherwise.

Staying in the middle of the nature.

The Moon dance show was a disappointment. Especially the female dancers seemed totally uninterested.

We were expecting an unusual experience-and we got it. To stay there with the sound of the river and the jungle gave a very special feeling. And in regards to the lack of electricity it was a surprising standard of living and so on. Furthermore it was very beautiful with all the flowers and plants. We enjoyed it very much.

This hotel is worth staying at as it is quite a different experience from the cities and beach towns in the region. Make it an overnight trip though, because there's about 1 day's worth of stuff to do and the lack of AC will wear on you after one night. Also, when traveling to the hotel, be ready for a long cab ride in the back of a truck. All the traveling is worth it though because the resort is beautiful and unique and the included food is excellent.

Nightlife Tip : If there's a chance to see the locals put on a dance show, see it.
