New, clean, for sure good spa, very nice rooms also for the lowest level oness, wide garden, great buffet for breakfast, lovely bar with swing seats, beach front.
The complex is a bit out of path and too modern for its name. Too big, customers can feel a bit abandoned. Internet too expensive, they charge 300 bath (6 euro) per hour with prepaid cards. Missing personality, you won`t expect it from an Apsaras structure were you should feel pampered all the time.
Basically I can say a positive stay, but there are much better resorts in the area for different reasons. In a such secluded place like White Sand Beach they should have more activities for guests. It`s a place for those who don`t want to leave the resort. You have to walk quite a lot to find a motorbike rental, which is essential if you want to move around and go to Khao Lak center (about 7-10 km faraway). Spa prices and packages are quite expensive, but that's Apsaras. If your reason for a trip to Thailand is to enjoy the Spa benefits, keep fit and relax, this is your place.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Have a ride to the nearby Laem Paka Ram for a peaceful view and contact alive shells on the beach, it`s the corals cemetery, a sea-lunar sight. Go also to Baan Nam Kem, the Tsunami Memorial Park, an impressive monument to Tsunami victims. Rent a motorbike beside the recommendations of the hotel that they are dangerous, they just want to sell their taxi service.

Strange that the room had a big window to the bathroom. You could pull down a curtain from the room for privacy.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Try the elephant safari.

very nice beach and cool rooms.
Has a French Club trip. Make much more active fields.
The reception is friendly, good with a welcome drink. The location is very well situated on a secluded beach. The hotel manager is very friendly. The hotel has a very nice spa, the rooms are very modern and clean. The room has a shower with a large window into the bedroom, but this may be by a roll-loading separated. This restaurant is run by a French chef, who is eating very well. The situation is a little further up from Khaolak, but the beach is absolutely not crowded.
Restaurant Tip : Front row at the Seven Eleven has good Thai restaurants.
