Very clean & well presented resort. Good size beach frontage. Beach swept clean every morning. Dining Room staff friendly.Pleasing decor - mix of traditional & contemporary. Internet connection cards available to use in Computer/Library room. Our fault maybe, but wrong time of the year to be there. Low season, torrential rain..staff were not very attentive. We had planned to stay 8 nights if we liked it. Loved the Beach Villa, very well appointed with lovely lounging platform. Bed was comfortable. At nights we were the only ones dining. Not sure why as the food was far superior to any we had in the town. Food was reasonably priced. With our encouragement the chef prepared our thai dishes "spicy" how we like. She made the best Papaya salad we had this trip. The chef & our waitress Wee made our stay more enjoyable.Recommend having a whole Thai style BBQ fish...delicious.
Disappointed with the town. Shabby & littered. We stayed only 4 nights...because of the weather & lack of choice.

Friendly relaxed style of the hotel. Very helpful front of the house staff. Location - being just near the main street with a good choice of restaurants and shops at hand. Right on the beach and lovely swimming pool, jacuzzi area. The massage area is also well situated and was used. Breakfast area could be cheered up a bit - felt a bit 'uncared' for compared to the rest of the hotel. Baan Khaolak is an excellent hotel, in a great location with all the facilities at hand. We had a slight problem,but they acted very professionally and put us in a Superior room while they sorted it out. We ended up being upgraded, at no extra cost for the rest of the week. The handling of the mistake by the hotel was without fault.
Restaurant Tip : Just fifty yards down the road on the right hand side a lovely open air pavement restaurant, excellent food and good service. Great value for money.

Great staff
Very beautiful and clean hotel. Lovely asian style rooms. The breakfast buffet was quite good as well. My wife and I spent our honeymoon there in March. We loved it. Staff was great and very helpful. Very quiet and romantic getaway destination. I would definitely stay there again. Simply and awesome resort.
Restaurant Tip : Sea View Hotel just down the beach has a wonderful seafood buffet every Friday. Stay at Baan Khaolak Resort, but sample the food from the various places on high street too!

The resort is a good size. Big enough to have all the services but small enough that the walk to the beach is never bad.
