Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Khao Lak Resort Khao Lak (Phang Nga) Info
On hills surrounded with lush greenery this small recently renovated hotel beckons with a calming quality and suburb location. The hotel grounds slope to the sea where a quiet, secluded beach awaits. Surin Island and Similan Island National Parks make a delightful day trip where your underwater adventure will be viewing up close some of the world’s most beautifully colored tropical fish. Bamboo rafting and canoeing in a mangrove forest would be two unique trips as well. Don’t miss sunset from the restaurant. Sunset in this part of the world is justly famous and enjoying a meal in the open air only enhances the experience.

Great beach front location. Lovely multiple swimming pools. Friendly staff.
Some of the standard rooms are dark, particularly the ground floor ones.
A LOT of steps and bridges - not recommended for anyone with mobility difficulties or small children.
The location of the Khao Lak resort is lovely. They keep the beachfront clean in front of their hotel & the main lunch/dinner restaurant is right on the edge of the sand, so very romantic. The breakfast restaurant is set back next a pond. The buffet in the morning is fair, good enough quality and choice of local & Western foods. Egg chef would not do me poached though, despite me asking the head chef too.
The pools are gorgeous - there are many to choose from, most of which have one or more jacuzzi features in them.
Rooms are spacious.
Staff are very friendly and most speak some English.

resort excellent place to stay to relax. the feeling there is complete relaxation. the staff are happy to please. the ambiance is really good. however if you go there with the idea of contacting people while you are there forget it. half the time it didnt work and when it did you had to pay for it.
as far as location though we checked out most of the resorts along the beach and though it looked the best.

The Khao Lak Resort is indeed a very nice place to stay. The basic Superior room was well appointed and quite spacious. As I visited in the rainy season (July) there wasn't much of a chance to swim in the Andaman Sea. The swimming pools, however, were wonderful. i was also quite impressed with the quality of food at the main restaurant. The Manager, Mr. Sun was most helpful and accommodating. I would love to visit again, but not in the rainy season. With all the rain, it got kind of boring to stay in the room with a small TV.
