Very clean and beautifull hotel in local style !
good breakfastbuffet, very friendly staff. Next to the beach. nice swimmingpoolarea. Location : There is nothing much to do in the neighbourhood and they charge you a lot of money for a daytrip to for example Khao Sok NP or Similan/Surin NP. Very cosy, beautifull and clean hotel in local style (Thai Bungalows). Nice swimming pool and a good breakfastbuffet. The rooms are very spaceous and also in cosy local style. The bar in open air is also very neat to stay. But if you wanna move aound in the area everything is expensive and the prices are a copy of western prices
Restaurant Tip : On the main road (Nr 4) there are some nice local restaurans where they don't rip you off and where you can eat Thai food at a local price, all the rest (daytours and other restaurants) are a rip off !

Affordable rate for a lovely hotel - nice beach front, beautiful gardens and grounds Restaurant was expensive for local Thai food but probabaly to be expected in a hotel. European pasta dishes not great in restaurant Lovely hotel at an affordable price from Agoda. Rooms very clean with twice daily service. Accomodating staff. Nice beach front and beach bags for guests etc. Nice cocktail hour. Beautiful gardens grounds and pools. Lovely shaded sunbathing cabanas with fans by the pool for those seeking shade with bar service.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rent a scooter to explore surrounding beaches (find quiet secluded Malati beach for a near private beach experience and lovely restaurant). Research snorkelling trips carefully - we booked a trip through the hotel and were part of a large boat trip with less than mediocre snorkelling.

What a super resort - thai architecture rooms are superb with the biggest bath tubs you ever did see ! stayed here twice in one travelling holiday and just didnt want to go home. didnt have time to try the spa but it looked heavenly. Beach at khaolak great - not postcard perfect but lovely atmosphere/restaurants and waves!!! thai new year here was hilarious with everybody armed with water guns, buckets, you name it for getting soaked. Fab! The only critiscism we could make was the breakfast - because the buffet was semi open air, there were quote a few small flies on the fruit and cakes (although these werent a problem at the table)- they need to invest in some sort of net cover - we did tell the management and hope they sort it out Hotel Feature Tip : Book on agoda !
