We stayed at this hotel 3 years ago and had a wonderful time. With that in mind we book for 10 days on this last trip , the hotel had changed a lot in the last 3 years. It rundown dirty and musty, the place looks like it has been left to die. Sad ....

Good Value, close to beach

We stayed towards the end of the season so it was very quiet on the beach, in the restaurant and around the pool. This also meant our room was great value. The walk into town was a bit longer than we thought and it cost 100bt each way in a tuk tuk so we hired a bike from reception for 200bt per day which meant we could go into town as often as we wanted. Being late in the season a lot of the shops and restaurants were closed but we did go to Smile and it was the best seafood. Be careful of the sea as the tide and waves are very strong. We also had a lovely buffet meal on the beach at the Laguna Hotel, great price and amazing setting for watching the sun go down. The staff at Suwan were very helpful (especially the pregnant lady.
