Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Big family room with seaview.
Good location and good value.

We got the big family room with two king size beds for a very good price through Agoda, but it will be a lot more expensive during the high season. Very nice is the seaview and the location of the hotel, it is not too far to walk to the beach, restaurants etc. Breakfast was a small buffet but rather basic.

Excellent middle-rangel hotel
Good value with clean well maintained rooms.

We enjoyed staying at the Suwan Palm. The rooms were good with a quite A/C and balcony overlooking the sea. An excellent swimming pool in center of hotel area. Buffet breakfast recommended.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Similan Islands 2 hours offshore. Book via National Park Office.

suwan palm
location, pool, breakfast
8.7
Good pool, good location with only a grassy area between the hotel and beach, and only a 5 minute walk up to the shopping, dinning area. A simple but good buffet breakfast with nice little extra's like cheese in the omlettes and real bacon. Were given a room upgrade from superior to deluxe which was on the 3rd(top) which had a nice beach view.
The only negative was we were told only twin beds available, yet the hotel was almost deserted and all the empty rooms had their doors open, plenty of which had double beds?
Overall very good value

Value for money
Friendly helpful staff. Gave me room upgrade.
9.3
I enjoyed my stay and have just booked for another four weeks. I will probably stay until the beginning of November as I am doing voluntary English teaching in the area.
The only negative comment is that their website is not up to date. They are still advertising the Irish pub which no longer exists. The premises are now being used as an Italian restaurant. This is closed at the moment as it is low season. They are doing a lot of maintenance work ready for the new season. Overall, the hotel is very good value for money and the location is excellent for the beach.

A different experience
Near to the national park and beside a beach
6.3
Need to look out for the sign to turn left after reaching the 'town'. The area is really quiet during the low season. There are few restaurants and shops in the 'town'. The people are friendly and there are very few tourists seen. There is a local bus that stops regularly in the town, probably starts from Phuket town area. We seem to be the only customers in the hotel when we checked in. The whole place is really deserted. Took a while to find the receptionist. The staff are friendly. It is beside a beach but did not explore the beach due to time constraint. It looks clean and untouched. There are other hotels around. Given the economical price, it is acceptable. It is also near to the National park, but please use insect repellent before visiting. I was attacked by a swam of mosquitoes while trekking halfway in and drove back to 'town' to buy insect repellent & tiger balm to apply to the bumps. Then continued to trek and the beach/ scenery was quite worthy.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Trekking in the national park.

The best features of this hotel was location clean rooms, nice staff and price.
6.3
Over all I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was very close to the beach had nice view, the price was fair. The hotle its self is a bit run down and over grown, but the rooms are nice and have good views if you are on the 3rd floor. The air con worked well as did the showers with plenty of preasure and hot water. The TV never worked well but the staff was willing to help.
