Great Hotel for the Money.

We booked two nights and ended up extending another 3 days. Did a lot of sight seeing in this area on our own. We rented motorbikes, shop around, you can get them for 160 a day. Be sure to visit White Sand Beach and the waterfalls. We rarely book tours but had friends with us. They had limited time so we did a snorkeling trip to Koh Bon. Don't recommend this for snorkelers. Would go to the Similans instead. We did Phang Nga one day. And a trip to Cheown Lake staying in the Bamboo Huts for one night. We booked with Sea Dragon but after talking to some people feel we were way over charged, especially for the last trip. But we had a good time anyway.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Tour to Cheown Lake including one night in the bamboo huts, an elephant trek and other things thrown in. Though the flying fox was a joke. Having done this in Costa Rica and elsewhere, this was like a zip line in someone's back yard. Can't believe they would even charge someone for something like this. Lame.

Amazing Hotel for the Money

We booked two nights and ended up staying for five. The hotel was right on the beach, but we weren't there for the beach. Good thing, it wasn't one of the nicest beaches, but great atmosphere. The room was comfortable. They upgraded us without us even asking, first time this has happened booking through Agoda. Our location was excellent, we could walk to the main street. There isn't much traffic, unlike other places we've visited. So riding a motorbike is a pleasure. Definitely recommend the place if you want nice lodging and are on a budget.

Be sure to visit White Sand Beach.

Good hotel for the money. Highly recommend it if you are looking for comfortable accommodations at a great price. Nice pool. Lovely staff. Good location.
Restaurant Tip:
Khao Lak Seafood. Good food. Great value.

Lovely hotel but tried beds
Right on the beach. Walking distance to shops and caves

rooms are large and clean but the beds need replacing. the hotel provides a limited number of beach chairs in an area next to the hotel. we found this out by accident the next day. the breakfast is in this area which is poorly keep and smelly. the breakfast buffet has sat out much to long by 9 am,it is very sad. you stay here was two nights and would not wish a longer visit.

Great location
Our room had a Sea view and the hotel is practically on the beach, good value. The room was light and airy, the staff were all lovely too. Plus you get free WiFi.

I would recommend this hotel, and Khao lak itself, it's a beatiful place, and still has a laid back atmosphere, sadly disappearing in many places especially south of Hua Hin.
Travel tip:
If your Breakfast is not included, there are good places to eat all around the hotel.
