Quiet place with excellent food
Construction going on that i did not know about before booking
If you are looking for a place to really get away from things and relax then stay here. It is extremely peaceful and serene. A short ferry ride from the mainland to the island makes it feel even more removed from every day life. If you are an avid seeker of night-life entertainment then you need to book elsewhere. This is a retreat setting.

the most beautifil resort I have been in south asia, very quiet, far from tourist life, very friendly staff, the bungalow are all remodeled, space, comfartable beds, huge bathroom, exoxtic , what to ask more ,we booked for 9 days and stayed 12 .
we were there during low season do not expect to much activities, the spa is closed but they will opened it on request, the restaurant is good , but they don't always have what you want .
I stayed with 1 child and 2teens, we all had a great time , very relaxed ,everyone was friendly ,a good place if you are looking for peace and quiet, the hotel is beautiful, bungalow surrounded by an exotic garden , clean pool next to your room ,the beach is right in front, you do not need to go anywhere else, just stay there an d enjoy that little paradise, our best stayed in all south east asia, going back there as soon as possible.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : 20 mn by car , ferry and car again , go to the elephant trekking, kids love it, or take a day tour shopping with a private driver in the island or pukhet

The individual bungalows were very nice, peaceful and more then adaquate. They were very clean and quiet.
The grounds (not the buildings) were slipping just a little in regards to maintenance and upkeep. Perhaps more effort would be directed towards the grounds once high season starts.
There were only two parties at the resort when we stayed (8 nights). Considering the resort is made for over 70 or so....it felt very deserted and somewhat lonely. Service was good and staff friendly. We wanted peace and quiet and that is what we really got. Considering it was May 09, we were at the beginning of low season. I needed internet connection for business reasons and that became an issue. None was available in the bungalow....but connections were made in the check-in lobby area (open air). Overall, very good value for the money spent and I greatly enjoyed the relaxing swimming....both ocean and pool. The breakfasts were nothing short of fantastic! The tidal wave of Dec 2004 is still on peoples' minds. You might visit the close-by memorial funded by a German foundation.
Hotel Feature Tip : Bring some good walking shoes as the hotel is quite a distance from other places to eat and shop. If you are unwilling to hike around (say 30 minute walks here and there)...you will pay for hotel, ferry, taxi and bus transportation on an ongoing basis.

great landscape and beautiful room design and pools
Management and staffs need more training, speak better English and attention to the details. Beach chairs and cushions needs improvement.
Hotel location is a bit far. Good relaxing place with beautiful room and pools. Great large room with large bathroom, outdoor shower and private valanda. Good housekeeping. Breakfast is good but lack of attention on foods when emptied. Staffs are not attentive and confused when asked questions. Needs better management and staffs would improve its potential.
Restaurant Tip : A great beach restaurant 10 minuits away to the right

Travelcost to and from the pier, the hotel should have a shuttle or free bicycles
It is not easy to access, it starts at the airport with arguing with taxi drivers on how much. The hotel offers transportation for 2000 baht, airport-limo takes 1500 baht and public taxi is cheaper. The limo will leave you at the pier on the mainland, I will recommend the hotel to lower the fee to 1500 baht.
The hotel is very nice with a choice of restaurants within walking distance. During day-time it is just relaxing, sun and swimming, no organised activity.
The beach is very good for walking. To summarise: nice and clean but not much to do.
TV? Yes, there is TV in the rooms but hardly nothing to watch.

Very clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Beautiful beach.
Expensive food in restaurant (breakfast costed 300 BTH per person. In Thailand you can have a good dinner for couple with lots of drinks for that amount of money). Quite far away from anything...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rent a motorbike in pier if you want to see anything around.

Redouble place, very attractive form an extremely beautiful one,
Kaskadenförmig.
Partly spare obsequious staff very good.
Good, cheap excursion offers.
Very beautifully arranged beach where one also can eat.
Very good and überaschend cheap Essen.
A dream gets true there!
Otherwise perhaps a little too quiet.
Unfortunately, the breakfast is very monotonous for a Central European.
However, I had closed lucky through this to "catch" a fantastic special offer (price).
It seems to be worthwhile to drive there outside the season.

Staff and management are friendly, outgoing and helpful. Transport to airport was great. Food and beverages are reasonably priced if you don't go crazy on the seafood delicacies and tropical cocktails.
I think they gave us the ugliest room in the resort because we got a big discount online. The room was clean, but Spartan. Not enough lamps. No room safe. No security latch on the door! The bathroom fixtures are awkward. No hygiene spray by the toilet. Difficult to get in & out of the tub safely. Try to avoid rooms 152-159. The TV has only 3 channels: Aljazeera, Fashion TV & a French channel.
My wife liked the room but did not like the service. I liked the service but did not like the room. For me, the service was 4 star but the room was only 3 star. This resort is way off the beaten path. It would be difficult to find on your own. If you do not like children, avoid this resort; it's family oriented. Before you book a tour to the islands or get a massage, take a walk down the beach and compare prices.
Nightlife Tip : There is no nightlife around here whatsoever except the bar and restaurant in the hotel. However, you can take a long walk down the beach and compare other resorts.

We loved everything about this resort. From our pool villa to the staff we could not complain about anything.
Can't think of anything to say negative about this resort.
We were so pleased with our stay here. The rooms were clean and large, the pools gorgeous and the beach beautiful. The continental breakfast was more that usual and very good. You could not ask for a more attending staff and management. We stayed over Xmas and the Gala that was put on was great..from food to entertainment. I highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing slightly out of the way holiday.
Restaurant Tip : A quick trip to town and you will find many restaurants offering very good food along with shops selling essentials and gifts.

We stayed in a deluxe room hich was nice, clean with garden view. Very clean rooms, nice and helpful staff.
The walkways. BEcause of the private pool acces all other guests have to walk at teh outer wall which is not very nice. The walkways around the pool areas are uneven. A lot of people fall down. AC is only in the room. The clothes and the cabinet are in the bathroom. All is dump there
Nice Islandresort. This is a nice, not to big Islandresort on Kho Khao Island. The rooms are very nice and clean, the stuff ist warmly, helpful and professional. Beautiful lon g sandy beaches, dinner is served at the beach an they have life musik and good food. Good place to stay for a relaxing holiday

Clean quiet place with about 8km of almost deserted lovely beach with xlnt swimming. Very quiet island with only ferry access, about ten scattered resorts and a handful of shops at the pier. Unlike most of Thailand there was nobody roaming the beach trying to sell you something. Very nice quiet clean mosquitoproof room with huge bathroom and tub. Very good management and staff. Internet, WiFi, shuttle to pier and to/from airport(but costs).
(These cons may well apply more or less to nearly all the resorts in Thailand). No movies on tv at all but they say they will add a movie channel soon. Nearly all the discarded books everywhere are in Swedish(ca 90% of visitors to this part of West Thailand are Swedish). No games or activities at all(ie, no badminton, ping pong, volleyball, pool table, or exercise eqpt).
Lovely quiet rooms and good staff. Food and drinks more expensive but higher quality than you will get at the few other small places on the beach nearby or at the pier. Like most places you have to pay a high fee for the xmas or newyears party but the banquet was great and the entertainment good for such a small place(ca 40 rooms). Pool not too big but I spent all time on beach anyway and if you pay more you get one of the apartments with big pool you share with a couple others. Good food, drinks and massage but if you like its just a few hundred meters up or down beach to other resorts, on beach restaurants or massage. Lots of trips available to nearby islands. Recommended for those who want quiet and good beach at reasonable price.
Shopping Tip : Can walk 400m down the beach to the Andaman Princess which accesses the shops/restaurants at the pier to buy basics but you will need to go to Kao Lak to buy anything more.

Good standard on the rooms, close to beach, quiet area.
Not many restaurants in the area.
We stayed at this hotel for five nights and we really liked it. It's a clean and fresh hotel, with big rooms and friendly staff. It's located on the Kho Khao Island on the beach. There are only four hotels on the island so it's quiet and relaxing. Perfect for a couple who wants some alone time. If you are getting tired of relaxing you could take a trip to the Similian Island which is the most beautiful place in Thailand.
Restaurant Tip : A must is to eat at the bungalow restaurant a few minutes walk from the hotel on the beach. The staff was very friendly and the food is very cheap and always tasteful.

Vast and clean beach, large and confortable bungalows, rather good food, very pleasant swimming pool and kind (even inexperienced)staff. Problably the best hotel to stay on KKK island.
Symbolic spa, prohibitive transport from airport to hotel(2000 B for 130 km, the normal prize in taxi is around 1300 B), shuttle to the pier (100 B for 3 km),massage (390 B per hour), internet access (100 B per hour),mini bar,in brief, all the extra services are outrageously expensive.
Forced to stay longer because of the occupation of the aiports, I dealt directly with the reception and was charged 3,400 B for a villa with private access to the pool, plus 800 B (breakfast for two), which makes 4,200 B per day. A bit inelegant in such circumstances...
