Thai style of living for you... 10 If you want to stay the way most Thais used to live...this is the place. The owners live in a traditional Thai house...elevated wood home where the bottom is a hub of everyday life. The rusted courrugated zinc roof, and just about everything else made of wood, including our one bedroom bungalow, met my expectations. The owners are friendly and staying here you feel like vsiting friends. The bungalows give you privacy amidst lots of trees and plants. Withing walking distance to several street food and fruit vendors but NO large night markets. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Obviously you go to Sukhotai to visit the historical park! The town itself is small and quiet at night. Dont expect boisterous night life or shopping malls...not missed at all. The other historical park Sri Satchanalai is not as spectacular but across from the park main road is the village hub and its imposing Prang. Stay til nightfall as the Prang is lit. Many food vendors. Dine al fresco sitting on mats and low tables. Enjoy village entertainment...song, dance, ritual blessings.
