This hotel makes a good base to explore the surrounding countryside or nearby night markets. Wiang National Park is a great day trip to visit the barking deer, civets, flying lemurs, monkeys and flying squirrels. Also, don’t miss the excitement of the Ban Khok Sa-Nga cobra village. The rooms are well equipped and include bathrobes and an attached verandah The restaurants serve Chinese, Japanese and Italian cuisine, and the town is chock full of restaurants. As you are in Issan (northeast Thailand), experiment and try a meal with Issan specialties. The food is a bit hot but a flavorful treat.

There is the musuem that you can visit, the sports bar next to the Kosa is very cheap (about £2) for a bottle of whiskey.

In khon Kaen itself there is nothing really to do, we were visiting a village 1 1/2 hours away so you may want to bear this in mind.

Hotel Feature Tip : Don't eat the food at the poolside, it made us a little sick!
