Nice friendly staff, quite location off the main road, private beach, clean rooms
The food and the service at the restaurant could be improved given the quality of the rest of the resort
Overall a very nice hotel, good location off Klong Praow Beach with friendly staff.
However one thing that bothered us was the compulsory New Year Gala Dinner. Almost all hotels do the same and that is to charge excessively for the dinner. It would be ok if the food was in par with the quality, but to pay USD90 per person for a buffet is way too much.

the idea of the hotel and the warm feeling in the room
not enough road sign, for example the sign to the hilltop pool is not obvious
It is a very nice and different experience during my stay in this hotel. It feels very like home. The facilities might be not as complete as a 4-5 star hotel, because there is only one restaurant. However, I do like the idea of the infinite pool which located at the top of the hotel.

amazing garden, great room
double beds please - king beds... who wants them?
very beautiful designed resort. i felt the staff was very friendly and upgraded us to a better room since i had asked for a double bed and they had only rooms left with twin beds. the rooms was very well made, with stone floors and walls, nice veranda, clean, i loved it. restaurant was okay, nice layout at the river, but the staff at the restaurant could need a farang in charge to make the waiters actually do their job - because they are too slow and forget things.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : after the dinner you can ask the staff to take you on the free 'fire flies' boat trip on the river. magic!

Located on the quite river side. Kayaking is a lot of fun. The complimentary firefly tour is a plus.
The design of the hotel is kind of rustic, and the service is kind of rough too. You don't feel the typical Thai hospitality in this 4 star hotel. Breakfast has limited choices. The food in the restaurant is expensive and it took more than two hours for our last dishs to come, and we lost appetite already after waiting this long.
We are not big beach fun, so staying in this hotel provides us opportunity to do something different. The kids loved the kayaking very much. The location of the restaurant is ideal and looks very beautiful at night. But I wouldn't recommend the food there. The service is slow and the food is expensive.
Restaurant Tip : There are several seafood restaurants just down the road. The one at the end served good food and reasonably priced.

The room is tidy and comfort. The breakfast is simple and tasty. I like the hill pool. It is quiet and good viewing.
The timetable of the suttle bus to the white sand beach is not flexible enough. 2 times a day only.
The timetable of the suttle bus to the white sand beach is not flexible enough. 2 times a day only. And the hotel location is a kind of far from the main street. We couldn't walk out the hotel unless we take a taxi or the hotel suttle. I think if they can have a more flexible bus schedul. I will stay here again for my next trip. If not, I can't stay here again.
The hotel staffs are very nice and friendly. They are very helpful all the time.
The room is tidy and comfort. And it has a very big balcony.
The breakfast is simple and tasty.
And I like the hill pool. It is quiet and good viewing.
The suttle boat to the private beach closes at 630pm. I feel that is too early.

A beautiful place, gorgeous gardens, lovely beach, good restaurant, well trained masseuses at the spa, good pools, nice night trips to watch the fireflies, a dreamy atmosphere.
A very expensive access to internet (this policy in pricey hotels drives me mad), rooms are a bit overpriced,, although the restaurant is reasonable. Slightly weird access to the sea beach - ok for young people, but a bit uncomfortable for older travellers - I think they should have pedalos in addition to kayaks.
We liked the hotel very much. It is another case of being thoughtful about environment, design, gardens and beach. The place relaxes you to the core and some days on the beach were simply dreamy. We liked the fact that the restaurant was not overpriced, as it happens in many secluded places. The food was good and people are very pleasant. One goes to the beach on a kayak (fun but slightly laborious), or you can be taken in a motor boat by the staff (only 2-3 minutes). I think the older customers would enjoy pedalos. I am trying to bring my 83-years old mother and am not sure she can handle the boat.
Rooms are comfortable and cozy with sweet balconies. I believe they are priced a bit ambitiously (for Thailand), almost like 5-star Amari, in spite the 3-star rating of AANA on different sites. Spa is expensive, unless you use their masseuses on the beach. I have to say that my oil massage on the beach was superb. Internet is B300 ($9) for 100 minutes, which is ridiculously expensive. Internet shops along the villages charge approx $1 an hour. But there is a debate going in the tourist industry about this bizarre pattern. Cheap hotels have free internet access, expensive hotels fleece you senseless. Overall we enjoyed our stay there.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to Bang Bao village and eat in the Bhudda View restaurant - delicious.

The hotel staff were really helpful and friendly.
The hotel looked a little "tired" and in need of a lick of paint.
Overall the hotel provided a very good service and great value for money. The rooms were clean and although pretty basic, all had large balconies. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The Cinnamon restaurant provided a mix of Thai and western dishes, which were adequate considering the price. Aana resort is very quiet and would be perfectly suited for couples and families, there were not many signle people staying here. The hotel has two swimming pools and access to a beach by boat. I found it too much of an effort to use the boats to get to the beach so I didnt bother.

clean, nice friendly staff,
somewhat remotely situated; you're depended from taxi's as nearest 'town' (kai Bae) is not within walking distance.
Stayed only 2 nights; hotel looks nice, a lot of steps!!, rooms are nice, light & clean. Little bit small in my opinion. And I really think a downside is the fact that the beach can only be reached by either a shuttle or by kayak. And anyone who doesnt regularly excercises, think twice, three times before kayaking!! (this makes you depended again from the shuttle boat.) And the hotel is too far situated from nearest city. First 300 meters to main road to haul a cab down, than wait for one to come. But hey, if you like staying in a quite place, but not too quite, this is your ideal place!

The two pools are fabulous, although with the shuttle boat and kayaks available to take you to the beach, you may not spend long by the pool. The Thai food was very good and it selection of other restaurants a short walk away if you want cheaper but good food
Some of the staff expected tips for doing nothing
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Blue Lagoon cookery course is well worth trying out, and is just down the road from the hotel

quiet and peaceful place,
service, housekeeping, location (can not get anywhere from the hotel its in the middle of nothing)
Arrival all ok and I was looking forward to a nice stay.
•Room looks old and very basic.
•Door does not close properly
•Many mosquitoes everywhere in the room. I asked to spray but they did not
•Internet very expensive
•Did not make my room up at all. •After I called in the evening, they pulled the sheets a bit and brought new towels. Bathroom not cleaned, still garbage in the room etc….. very poor
•The shades are a joke. No way to sleep in the morning, they just do not block any light
•Breakfast is very basic, not much international selection besides eggs…
•The place is in the middle of nowhere. No chance to get to the beach, restaurants anything. Getting a cab there is impossible. They tell you to walk to the street and get one there. That’s 500 meters in the plain sun…. And who knows if a cab passes then
•They should have shuttle services. But they seem to try to make you stay in so you have to spend money at the property.
•As the place is quite new I was expecting it to be much better. Looks already aged in many areas
•The place is nice from a hardware setting, nice gardens etc but that is not enough to make a stay good

Have the activities for choose.
This place is very good for all people. The activities made my family happy, they told me to come back next time. And all the staff are very nice and have the service minds. For this trip all of us feel so good and smile all day. Certainly, we will look forward to come back this place again.
Hotel Feature Tip : TAKE THE 'KAYA' TO THE ISLAND(NOT SO FAR) AND FISHING OR SWIMMING.

Perfect Location, natural surroundings, private beach with bar and restaurant, 2 big swimmingpools, beautiful villa's, very good staff.
Anaa Resort is one of or maby the best resort on Ko Chang, because of it's location on the river. Don't worry the beach is only a minute by kanu or motorboat, both provided by the the hotel. With it's very special private beach, villa's with jacuzzi's, 2 swimmingpools, internetroom, gym and one of the best resaurants on Ko Chang, Anaa Resort is a very special place to stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rent a scooter and explore the island, it's beautifull.
