Stylish rooms, two excellent pools, gardens
Very stylish hotel located on the banks of a river. Rooms are very cool and comfortable. Excellent swimming pools, one of which is an infinity pool on a hilltop. Food is good, free use of kayaks and firefly tour. The private beach is not great.

Clean rooms, beach access, kayaking, night boat tours, close to good entertainment, friendly staff, two great swimming pools.
My family and really enjoyed staying at the AANA Resort and Spa. My children, aged 13,8, & 5, all had a wonderful time. They especially enjoyed the kayaking, swimming in the pools, playing in the ocean, playing beach volleyball, and the evening fire fly cruise. We would highly recommend this Resort to all our friends. In the future I think we will return again. The rates in the high can be a little high but for offseason travelers it is a great bargain.

Peaceful
Good service
Location
Good restaurant
Swimming pools
Cleanness
Thai oriented
Expensive tours
This hotel is very typical, in a peaceful place, not so far from the pier.
We would recommend it for honeymooners or people who are not into clubbing and want to have the real taste of the countryside.
Servicing is good even though not all attendants speak English well.
Free kayaks available at the 'restaurant on the sea', private beach with only one hammock, massage on the beach.
Good breakfast buffet and restaurant for lunch and dinner, with both local and international food.

Location, Private Beach, Nice Rooms
Restaurant Food and Price, Expensive Internet Wireless Service
The Aana Resort is a very nice place for a romantic getaway for two, and the location and private beach are major plusses. The rooms, especially the villas, are quite nice and a bargain at the price. The only downside is the restaurant which is mediocre and expensive, so best to eat at one of the many nearby seafood restaurants.

Nice location, Nice swimming pool, Not far from the restaurant area, Have activities to join in the resort as kayak for free.
It's quite hot around the restaurant that we have in the morning. That's it.
The location was really good nice, warm and cozy. The resort also not far from the restaurant and the resort itself there prepared lots activities for their customer to join either as Kayak to the private beach. And the beach are really private and so wonderful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Not far from AANA, there have fresh seafood and not expensive name J'Mam and J'Nok.... Don't forget to meet there when you have time.

Environment was so nice!
There were so many green inside the hotel and feel like inside the jungle area.
Restaruant doesn't have enough staff so it takes more than 40 min to get the food.
When checking out, staff told me that some glass and vessel were damaged but actually we didn't damage any thing in the room.
Our stay their had both good part and bad part over there.
Good part was the environment.
There is many tree and you can here many frog at night time.
Just looks like you stay in the jungle.
Bad part was service in the restaurant.
They didn't have enough cheif so we wait for 40min to receive the meal.
Secondly when we check out, staff told us that we damage few things in the room but actually staff didn't check everywhere insode the room so it was there without any damage.
At last there was many small fly at the beach and after few days also still itchy.
Restaurant Tip : Near the hotel there was few good sea food restaurant.

Location, setting, staff and environment policy.
Not great if you like parties, loud music and plenty of action!
I went with my family for a week in Koh Chang, but when we arrived at the hotel it was overbooked, which was a bit annoying after a six hour journey from Bangkok. However, the hotel put us up in another hotel for two nights, which was very nice, then upgraded us for the rest of the stay back at AANA. The staff were excellent and very apologetic about the whole episode. If there was a down side it would be the beach as there was not much to do on it, but there is a free shuttle service to White Sand beach where there is plenty to do. I would certainly use this hotel again and recommend it to others.
Travel tip : As always in Thailand for the best restaurants eat outside the hotel - there is a nice fish restaurant a bit further down the road.

Rooms are are just as required.
Nature is very well preserved in whole hotel area.
Location is good.
Beach is perfect.
Restaurant: The menu was a bit poor and the kitchen was not successful for preparing what they propose in the menu. Also the staff in the kitchen lacked English.
Internet connection is expensive and very slow.

Very nice staff
Good location
Private beach
Beautiful grounds
Very nice rooms
Hotel need better cable television and free interenet like most hotels offer
We have stayed at this hotel 4 times in the last two years. We think the service is great, rooms very nice and good location. Hotel is not on the beach but very close to private hotel beach they take you to by boat. Very tropical setting along the river. We will go back again and again.

Nice private beach area.
Very nice rooms and clean.
Staff very friendly and helpful
Nice gardens and hotel set in Jungle garden
No free internet
Few cable t.v. channels
This hotel is wonderful. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We love the location on the river. The hotel is set in a Jungle garden and decorated very nice. Everything is kept nice and clean. You have full use of Kayaks and boats to take you to hotel private beach. They will book tours and free transportation into main shopping area.

-Friendly staff.
-Good taste in room decoration.
-Room is well equipped, comfortable, functional and clean.
-Great breakfast buffet.
-Free kayake and firefly tour.
-Private beach with short distance of boat ride or kayake.
-2 swimming pools, with nice views.
-Free shuttle to white sand beach.
-Reasonable price.
-Wireless internet is not free.
-Restaurent is little limited (food is not that great compare to their breakfast).
-No other restaurant or commerce nearby
Fist impression was the staff is so friendly. The hotel was not right on the beach but they provide free boat ride and kayake, so we're able to get to their private beach quite easily. The Hotel is more like a villa, we can even spend hours just to chill in the hotel property. The Hill top pool is a great spot to see the sunset. We'll definitely go back if we visit Koh Chang again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : For the snorkeling tours, we found cheaper in agencys on white sand beach. But for the elephant ride we book with the hotel since it's the same price and it is one of the best(oldest) elephant farm on the island, we had a great time.
Shopping on the island is not the strong point, it's more pricy and less choice than bangkok, so get yourself equipped before you go.
If you go from Bangkok, it is not hard to go by public aircon bus. The ferry ticket is cheaper if you buy it with the taxi ride (songthaow). We took a one way ride (taxi + ferry)to the island for 120 baht/p ( 220 if we take two way). But on the way back, the ferry ticket alone costs 100 baht. Another 50 for the songthaow ride to the bus terminal.
We stayed there for 3 nights, but we kinda regreat that we didn't stay longer.

The rooms and villas are located in the woods and flowers designed well.
The parking space is not enough in case of holiday season. (But you can park your car anyway) And, if you just want to stay at the beach, this hotel is not convenient for you because you have to take 5~10-minute boat-ride to the beach from the hotel.
The room condition is very good, and it has very large balconies with good view. A lot of woods and flowers, beautiful both day and night.

Great rooms and the pools were amazing.
Very quiet and a bit couple-oriented if you're just traveling.
Really nice hotel. Beach was a canoe ride away but really easy to manage. We got a villa room which was amazing and the pools were lovely too.
Restaurant was poor for the prices they were asking. Much better to eat at white sands or stick to the simple dishes.
Hotel location is a bit isolated (about 9km) from anywhere so you have to get a taxi.
Hotel was also a bit dead for nightlife.
Would recommend it if you simply want to get away and chill out for a few days somewhere nice.
Restaurant Tip : If you eat at the restaurant, stick to simple dishes. A lot more expensive than eating in some of the local places and not necessarily better.

Beautiful hotel, good and relaxing location, clean and beautiful rooms. Great breakfast!
Food at the hotel restaurant was not that good.
The hotel is not located right in the city and that is nice and relaxing. The beach close to the hotel is really nice. The staff is nice and the breakfast is great! Food at the hotel restaurant is not that great. Rooms are beautiful.
