Nice resort, but could do with some maintenance

Very close to the ferry terminal. Resort only recently taken over by the Furama group. The pool in the villa we had needed some work/maintenance to bring the villa up to the standard it should be.
Very nice breakfast.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The resort has a minibus to Whitesand beach a few times a day, however if you plan to stay more than a couple of days, hiring a motorbike is very worth while.

Not as good as before, will not come again

I enjoyed my stay here last year, so this year I took my frieds with me. But it seemed changed a lot.They gave us so so rooms and told us rooms at beach front under construction. We enjoyed the most expensive coconut at the beach bar(more than 10 dollar each). When we checked out, they told us if use credit card, will have additional charge. So strange.
Travel tip:
not convenient if not have your own car

this was a great place to getaway, and have a rest! the spa was an amazing experience! prices were comparable! the food was expensive but very good!
hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful, and yes we would go again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
well just grab the shuttle and head on out to white sand beach and grab a moto, for around baht, and you can drive around the island, at your own pace, there are even automobiles for rent there, and we found this amazing place to eat some bbq chicken! mouth watering!

Great location on the beach

This hotel is located in a great beach location providing for excellent walks with swings and seating along the way to enjoy the beautiful sunset or just relax under the moonlight. The food was fair and rooms were a little dated but the atomoshpere makes up for the short comings.

Old hotel with bad receptionist.
Good breakfast but finish too early at 10:30 hrs.

Very very bad behavior receptionist at night (a woman worked at 19:00-20:00 hrs).
She talked and acted very bad when she knew that I would make online booking via Agoda and check-in suddenly. She tried to lie to us that we must booked in advance not last minute.
When we said we are hotelier we know more than you know.
Hotel really needs to get rid of this woman immediately (she make you as 1 star hotel).
The next day GM of the hotel called us to do apologize and said that what he can do to make our feeling better, we said we want nothing just want you to know that this woman should not be there no more!!!

we went there not in high season, we enjoyed property well. you can see wild(!?) peacocks there and they were not afraid of people! room was large and comfortable. the property stands on the beach but it is not suitable to swim.
hotel runs free shuttle bus to/from city center.

Nicely laid out not very far from the ferry point, Convenient distance from White Sands beach, plenty of activities for a short stay

Rooms are reasonable for the price
Good sea view.
Just cycling and walking around the resort can give a good exercise
Good assortment of activitis for lazing around within property.
Beach is not great but kayaking facility is a great compensation.
Overall good for 2 - 3 days stay
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you are in habit of drinking water regularly then better carry your own supplies - the staff can keep arguiing that they can only supply one small 500ml water bottle a day....

we went to this hotel with friends and all paid the same amount for the rooms but our room was not anywere near as good as our friends room after we bought this to there attention they moved us to better rooms.
The resort needs some maintenance and a few small things that could be fixed easily would have made a difference(no remote for the TV and no batterys for the safe) very glad for the free bus into town as resort is not near anything, not a bad stay over all.

This is my third time to stay with this hotel. The best thing I love is the privacy here. You can enjoy with your family and kids with no chaos. Many activities for kids, example : kids playground, mountain cycling, kayaking and big swiming pool. The room also nice and clean. Just few minutes drive to the white sand beach and others sightseeing. This hotel is located at a convinience area to travel and not far away from the Ferry Port.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Few minutes drive from the hotel to Klong Phu Waterfall, good advanture for small kids. Then the way back to hotel, we can stop at the white sand beach to enjoy nice and clean beach.

make sure you get one of the garden villas... these are self contained and just the bomb! we had one right down on the edge of the water and it was just the best.
tip: make sure you stay on koh chang for longer than 3 days! there is so much to see and o, and we were so p$@#ed off we didnt stay longer!
make sure you do the elephant tour that is nearby, and you can book it at reception and they just add it onto your bill... make sure you take some cash though when you go to give the elephant trainers! they are amazing and really go outta their way to make sure you get a great experience and take photos of you! they deserve a tip! oh, and make sure you do the swim with the elephants: just a mind blower!
Nightlife Tip:
Take the shuttle down to the main beach on Sat night for a great beach party! The beach down there is amazing...
Oh, and make sure you book the shuttle back for 300 baht, so they can come pick you up rather than getting a taxi which rip you off!!!
