On White Sands Beach
location, good restaurants nearby and access to White Sands Beach

Enjoyed a comfortable one night stop here. Car park was on the other side of the street (50 metres away). Room was fairly small but clean and up some steps. I enjoyed a good view of the sea. Hotel was also close to restaurants and what was happening on the beach.

Had a simple room with a nice balcony, although no real view from the balcony. Had a large clothes rack on the balcony and plenty of hangers which was nice.
-Only complaint was i stayed for 3 days and they never cleaned the room while i was there...not sure what was up with that.
But staff was very friendly and had no other issues with the place
-I left a couple articles of clothing there and called after a couple days and they found and held them for me till i came back and picked them up which was nice

great hotel near the beach

i really enjoyed my stay here. the hotel is located directly across the street from the beach, and very close to many excellent restaurants and bars. there are also many motorbike rental shops near by, which are a must if you want to go anywhere further than the beach. the only thing i did not like was the lack of free wifi.
Nightlife Tip:
just a few minutes walk up the street is a group of small open air bars, much like the ones in pattaya, where one can hang out at night and flirt with the bargirls.. if thats your thing.

I booked a deluxe room at this hotel and found that it was definitely not 3 stars (or deluxe). Basic amenities, such as shower gel and shampoo were not available. The room was very basic, although the size was ok. It appeared that they only cleaned the room if you specifically asked for it. The sogn for that was buried under a stack of other things, so I only foud this out after I cam back late afternoon.
I'd say that there are much better hotels in White Sand.

I stayed here a little over three months ago and am completing my Agoda evaluation now. This place was not memorable at all. So that must mean it's not very good, or very bad, but in the middle. Knowing myself it must be ok since I am not remembering things to complain about.

alina grande hotel is situated close to whitesand beach( just cross the main road) and has nice and friendly staff.rooms have greatcomfort and nice terrace.close to the hotel you cand find different good restaurants can eat very well for little money).also can book trips all over the island almost everywhere.one little thing to improve maybe : you must ask reception every day if you want your room cleaned.
Travel tip:
In whitesand beach you can find for those who like several bars when you go out Alina hotel 250 meters on your left side

fantastic location right on the beach
set on public beach but also boasts quieter private beach

nice size rooms, lovely cleaners although i did feel a little sorry for them as a couple of them was very young children! great location on the beach, my taxi from the pier on the mainland consisted of a speedboat that dropped me off right in front of the hotel and have to step into the sea which i thought was great...different but wear shorts and flipflops! the busboys will help with any luggage though. i would also advise to travel different parts of the island (wont take long) as there are some lovely beaches around. shop around for breakfast aswell.
Nightlife Tip:
if you are a solo traveller and like to meet the ladies i recommend you take one with you as only 1 lady bar that i could find. limited number of nightclubs too but has to be expected for the size of the island i suppose.

its very good if you work in the disco !
live music untill 12, disco untill 3am after you can sleep.
strongly suggested to ask for a room not on the disco site and not on the road.
no beach, you have to cross the road in swimming suit or pay extra for a bed on the beach to leave your clothes .
breakfast low quality
room very big, clean, big window a lot of light.
staff is very helpful and friendly
many restaurants around
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Rent a bike and bargain for price, they all ask 300 but you can go down to 200 for more days, and go to see the waterfalls
