Very badly managed, staff inexperience to deal with situations I will never stay in Banpu Resort ever again. I booked and prepay Agoda for 2 rooms. When I arrived to check in, I was told Banpu Resort can only give me one room. I demanded to see the Manager and the staff pretended they do not understand English. They finally gave me two rooms at Baan Thai Resort nearby which is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life. No proper running water and doors cannot even lock properly.
Travel tip : Reasonable restaurant nearby.

Staff a bit lazy. Food ok, but breakfast too simple. Beach fron bungalows are nice. Superior rooms terrible (road side). Beach is nice. Swimming pool clean.

Good location, nice pool area and really really close to the beach 20 m. Clean rooms and beautyful design overall
The staff on the floor (pool, cleaning and breakfast) are very friendly and smiling. Descent breakfast! Managing staff typical ignorant and not smiling with the heart (spending a lot time in thailand you will expirience this again and again). Internet 100 Baht 1 hours wich is ridicules.
Only 9 more or less useless channels on the TV I can higly recommend this resort for retired people who wan to relax by the pool / beach. Or if you want to spoil your girlfriend with a nice relaxing holliday in beautyfull inveronment.
3000 Baht at night I think was a little over the top, but again the location and design is really good!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : 2 really good thai restaurants just a cross the street. If you want a day tour with snorcling I can recommend the "thai fun" tour

In the middle of the action. Banpu Resort is a well placed mid-range hotel on one of Koh Chang's busiest beaches. The rooms are a little dark, but ours was clean and the bathroom good. We stayed as a first night stop over whilst touring the island for alternatives, and would conclude that if you're looking for a quiet spot to look further afield.

nice staff, small, quiet, friendly, great pool area. Hotel rooms in the back are not as quiet as bungalows, average food at restaurant. I can only recommend this place. I really felt comfortable and never wanted to leave. The bungalows, however, are much quieter than the hotel rooms, we had to move when we extended. Lunch and dinner better have across the street.
Restaurant Tip : Thai Restaurant across the street, next to the Italian Restaurant is great value and delicious

is in a good location and the deluxe bungalows are very nice and close to the beach..the standard bungalows are nice,but in the main building.. the staff is friendly and the bungalows are nice and clean..swimming pool and beach are ok..a lot of shops and restaurants outside resort..quite in the night..

small beach. Bad service: the staff is totally unmotivated and tries to avoid any additional work. Due to this fact we did not feel that good.
Small beach - In the morning the towel sport begins. Not enough places on the beach and the pool for everyone.
All in all the stay was Ok but really less than we expected. Next time we will surely take another hotel.
Restaurant Tip : The Ban Thai right next door and an amazing restaurant. Excellent atmosphere, service and food. Don't miss it. By the way: it also includes a hotel, but without a sand beach. Check the prices directly at the hotel.

Really nice garden and rooms We booked with Agoda and asked for bungalow no.100 and we get what we asked for. The bungalow was 2 meters from the beach and we was very pleased. We really had a wonderful time at the hotel, really nice jungle garden, nice and clean rooms all in wood, good breakfast with both thai and european food. Close to shopping and resturants.

The hotel was very nice clean and attractive, and was perfect for a quiet few days in Koh Chang. I think this hotel is very good value for money especially during the low season as it has nice pool and garden areas and the rooms are very nice with great decor and very comfortable. I would recomend this place to anyone on a budget or for those who do not want to pay over the odds.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The beaches further down Koh Chang are much nicer than the shore at white beach.

The uniqe design, good cleaning. Very close to the ocean. Bad service, bad food, very noicy, uninterested staff - kitchen staff. Some days they hadn't a proper breakfast cause they told us that it wasn't so many people living there at time being. That is extremely bad service, if breakfast is included then you should serve a proper breakfast every day.

We loved the seaview and the resort style. The resort is nice & next to the beach. We loved the seaview. We had a great time there, quite relaxing. The restaurant is good. The garden is beautiful & fit with the resort. The resort made you feel like you are in the nature. All the rooms are made from nature stuff. The resort is near a centre and the market. Koh Chang is a beautiful island.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Klong Pu waterfall is nice to go there.

Nice stretch of beach and the water was crystal clear. Very friendly and attentive staff. The food was better at the restaurants we tried nearby. The breakfast buffet could use a bit of an upgrade. My wife and I enjoyed this hotel very much and had a nice, peaceful stay. The karaoke was a bit noisy on the 1st night only. However, the rest of the time it was quiet. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it. The room was quite OK. The bathroom was OK too. Overall, we felt it was good value for the money.
Restaurant Tip : If you are facing the beach, the seafood place next door on the left is great. Facing the road, to your left, there is a good pizza joint on the opposite side of the road a few meters up. Look for the Paul Gaugin prints on the walls.
