Good staff, beautyful Spa

Too much sugar at breakfast, No chairs on the beach, No written information concerning the hotel in the room

Staff tries to do well and succeed step by step. Restaurant way too expensive for small food portions. Fortunately the Restaurant of the neighbour Hotel, SiamHuts, is excellent and cheap.

Restaurant Tip : Siam Hut

Very nice and relaxing spot

Sometimes the neighboring spots would play loud music late at night.

We spend our 2 weeks holiday at Bhumiyama and it was very relaxing. The staff was very friendly and they did everything to make our stay as nice as possible. All trip could be easily booked from the reception and this worked well.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There are a lot of trips to make but for us relaxing was the most important.

Very spacious, well appointed rooms. Very friendly and smily staff. Beautiful garden and pool.

no particular cons

We stayed there for four days in total during low season in one of the garden view rooms. The view from the room was great and the room itself was large and had all the necessary modcons. Staff was very attentive and even brought me a cake for my birthday!! The garden and pool were very beautiful and there was a large choice for breakfast. Overall, I cannot think of anything bad to say about this place.

Travel tip : The restaurant next door has nice western food.

Wonderful setting, beautiful bedroom set. Comfortable bed.

Air-conditioning capped at 25 degrees, which gets pretty warm.

Overall, the hotel is a beautiful place. The courtyard is nice and green. The restaurant has a wonderful sunset view of the ocean. I originally booked a Superior Garden View room, but once I arrived and saw the Ocean View room, I had to upgrade. I could sit on the chairs right outside of my room and enjoy a very romantic sunset. The bad - the air-conditioner in the room was capped at 25 degrees and wouldn't go any lower, which can get quite warm in the room. In this ocean view room, there is a bath tub, but the water heater is so small that it only filled the tub about 1/3 full, which was a waste when my honey and I wanted to relax after a long day of fun around the island. The worst part... the restaurant in the hotel kicks you out by shutting off all the lights to pitch-black for like 10 seconds right at 10:00 p.m. sharp! They don't welcome you to sit and chat, and enjoy the evening, which spoiled a very nice evening. Obviously, they don't understand what is good customer service!

Look for the troop of monkeys on electrical wires outsisde hotel's parking lot. They gater early morning and late afternoon. Make sure you speak with Mr. "Top" - a charming and very helpful young man.

Restaurant Tip : Go to the Bhudda View restaurant at the fishing village of Ban Bao - fantatic food and wonderful view.

We stayed six nights in an Ocean View Bungalow which has an outdoor bathroom, seems nice at first but really would have appreciated air-conditioning and not so many critters at night when going for a pee. Although the surroundings, pool area and beach were lovely the overall feel you get from the hotel is that it is a bit rundown and poorly managed. We ate twice at the restaurant and after the second dinner we both got food poisoning. Much better food and value for money at the Nature Rock next door on the beach. Staff should learn a bit more English.

Restaurant Tip : The Nature Rock next door on the beach had great food.

Location (lonely beach) less crowded part of Koh Chang

I noticed Jellyfish in the water last time. oh well, but still I have my trusty motorbike rental to get me to other parts of the island and back to this nice Safe House

Great Location, I use to get a motorbike in white sands and just drive down and check in, but there is a rental area within walking distance down the road. It is at one of my favorite beaches, but its getting more crowded now. I noticed jelly fish last time I was here, stayed here 3 times so far and still my preferred Hotel. nice rooms, very clean, open bathrooms which is a nice touch. I prefer the upper level rooms, always get a seaview even if its just the regular rooms.

There is a direct bus service line 999 from Bangkok to the pier where the ferry is going every half hour. On the island is a bus service to the resorts. For 200 baht a day you can hire a scooter for 24 hours.

Travel tip : ATM's and shops available all over the island.

Beautiful outdoor pool, with excellent views of the beach. High-speed Internet also available.

Hotel Feature Tip : A bit out-of-the-way, around the 'back-side' of Koh Chang, but everything on the Island is within walking distance.
