Arrived to check in at hotel. I was told by manager that "hotel is full" ....despite my booking. She instead put us upin a bungalow in their SSP development. Needless to say bungalow was not the same standard as the room we paid for.
There was no apology or,explanation of why this happened. No offer of a discount either. Terrible customer service. I complained directly who promised to Investigate.
The next day checked into hotel proper. Again, no apology or explanation....
Wifi worked less than 50% of the time. Breakfast was poor and we didn't even bother on our last day.
Easily the worst hotel in Thailand I've stayed at in the last 2 months travelling around.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Don't stay at this hotel. Plenty of other bett alternatives.

Very friendly staff, nice quiet resort with great views of the ocean. Good breakfast as well. Not far to walk to beach and shops/bars.
Travel tip:
Try to book an ocean view or sea view rather than a mountain view room.

Rooms are lovely. Hotel at the top of the hill, just about walkable in the heat, better on a scooter!
Only problem with hotel, is every evening for about half an hour there is a high pitch whistle (think it's to do with electrics), if they get that sorted it will be a perfect hotel
Koh Chang is wonderful

Good place to stay if you want peace and quiet, about 10 minutes walk to the start of white sand beach and lots of good beach spots with good service.

We have enjoyed the time in Chang Cliff Resort very much. Our room was very quiet and the staff very friendly and helpful. Anyway it was very nice to walk down in the many path to the cliffs and enjoy the sunset. We will come back for sure to this hotel.
