Lovely cottage on the beach
Great services, good location
9.7
Our stay seems to be a great experiences. The cottage on the beach is well equiped and maintained. The staff is very helpful. Just a few minutes walk, there is a 711 and nearby it the restaurant "friends seafood" serves fresh seafood at a reasonable price and we will certainly be back here again.

Very Nice bungalow accommodation.
Beautiful gardens and nice beach in a quieter part of Koh Chang.

Absolutely loved this boutique style teak villas set amongst beautiful gardens. The room was very spacious with a nice little verandah. Very private and comfortable. The pool bar area is very nice and relaxing with plenty of day beds in shady areas by the beach.
The new pool restaurant was under construction when we stayed there and will be very nice on the beach front. The food in the resort is very reasonable and delicious. Great little hotel and will definately stay again as all staff were very nice.

Boutique-style resort with lovely beachfront area
Room design, beach, pool bar/restaurant
7.7
the hotel features wooden bungalows, most of which are situated off a winding boardwalk leading from reception to the sea. the bungalows are spacious and beautiful, though some have better privacy than others. some features are designed nicely (such as the air conditioner that doesn't blow onto your bed), while others such as the hot-water setup for the shower work less than optimally. our bungalow was one of the closest to the beach, and you could hear the waves crashing on the beach if standing outside.
the breakfast at the resort is nice, not the most extravagant of any resort in thailand, but certainly better than anything you get in the us, for example. the location is good but perhaps it could be better signposted (if driving from the ferry, it's in the village after the one where the dewa and amari are).
the resort has two kayaks which you can use free of charge. perhaps the nicest feature of the resort is the beachfront, while although the beach itself is small, it is backed by some nice shady trees, and seems to pick up a cool sea breeze. you can also lounge in the sun on the grassy area behind, which leads to the pool.
we did have a bit of a problem during our stay with an aspect of out room; however, the swiss manager took our concern seriously and dealt with the problem in a professional manner, and even comp'd us with a free lunch at the pool bar.
the only aspect of the hotel i was less than impressed with was the front-of-house/reception staff, who seemed at pains to smile or show the normal level of thai hospitality you come to expect.
overall, i would be happy to stay here again, and i thought this resort was, for the most part, as enjoyable to stay at as the dewa, located nearby; the biggest advantages over the dewa were the shaded beach and the traditional wood bungalows (vs. dark concrete rooms at the dewa).

Very good service but tired room
6.3
We asked for quiet room but unfortunately we had a noisy room (Rm. 105) as we could hear people walking all the time to get from the other rooms to reception and making it difficult to get to sleep. Also the room seems very old with a small TV and I think it was very expensive for what you get. Big bathroom with separate bath and double size shower with good pressure. The swimming pool and area very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful but breakfast not much choice for Thai food.
Travel tip:
Not good to go on low season as not many restaurants open in Kai Bea.

Great hotel, with very Nice bungalows by the pool
Location+Swimming pool+Music system in the lovely bungallows
7.3
Spent 2 nights in the resort, which is very easy to access and find between the main street and the beach. Very quiet and personalized resort which makes you feel you are not in a standardized hotel chain and it's a very nice hideaway place to feel on holidays.
We went there during the low season, so the breakfast didn't offer a large choice, but all in all, we had a very pleasant stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Bang Bao at the very South part of the Island, great fisherman village with awesome seafood restaurants.

Really had a great time at this hotel, and it s a nice place to relax and enjoy the sun of Koh Chang island avoiding the crows of White Sand beach. The sea salt water in the swimming pool is a plus and could can enjoy cheap drinks at the bar.
Was just missing the sport room to work out.

swimming pool, location, room with tv and music dock

really had a blast in this hotel located right in the middle of koh chang island. it's more quiet compared to white sand beach.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take a bike and drive until the deep south of the island where you have the fishermen village. The best fresh seafood and almost only place where you'll find Thai people eating too
