Nice place but a little dated

We had a 3 day stay during Valentines and wanted a laid back quite time together, but what we got was very sick where we could not leave the room. We talked to the manager of the hotel about the food but was given the run around. I will not be back to this hotel ever again.

Had previously stayed there in 2010 in Beach Villa and loved it . Returned this time with expectaions of beach Villa and ended up in HOTEL building with view of car park and main road . I booked Superior Garden Building mistakenly believing it was one of the Villas . Staff unable to offer me the Villa as apparently all booked out. Okay my mistake but could Garden Buliding be described as Hotel Room with Garden View ( if it's not overlooking the carpark of course ) . I alerted my friends in Australia shortly about to visit as well and yes they also made the same mistake ! They have contacted the hotel directly and for a few extra dollars they are getting the VILLA in a lovely Garden Setting . The front office staff brought me a birthday cake on the day but overall it was not a happy birthday for this client !

Comfortable huts located on fantastic beach.
Best beach on the island & short journey from the ferry. Wide choice of breakfast right on the beach.

although located on a really good beach, the huts are looking a bit tired now and the bathrooms are not a very good standard. there is insufficient space around the swimming pool and far to few sunbeds available for the beach - many of the were also broken. we were without power for almost one day, having to chase the staff several times before it was restored.
we had stayed at gajapuri just a bit further down the island for the week before our stay here. the quality of the huts there was far superior there were plenty of good sunbeds and cost was less.

superior sea view was very dissapointing

we went to KC Grande and were looking forward to the Superior Sea View villa room. The location of the "villas" are very nice, directly on the beach but the rooms themselves are very disappointing. They are very small: on one side you have the bed and on the other side a little desk with a fridge along the wall. 2 people could not walk in the room together.There was no wardrobe, just a little rod to put your cloth on. Definitely not enough space. The bathroom was also very small with no separate shower or shower curtain, just a shower head.Taking a shower would flood the whole bathroom. Hooks for towels were missing as well. We decided to change accommodations and took a room in the Garden Deluxe Building - big and spacious with everything you are looking for. The stuff was helpful and changing rooms was no problem at all after we paid the price-difference.
The restaurant is directly at the beach which is nice but the food was too westernized. At least some real Thai dishes should have been available.
After changing rooms we enjoyed our stay and I think that KC Grande is one of the best choices along White Beach

very little room and not so nice. we wouldn´t stay any longer because every sunbeds was already taken before six a clock in the morning. they even took our chairs frome our house. we think at the hotel must do something about this issue. it was very stressfull to live in kc grande.

bungalows are ok, but overpriced, as they don't have much charm. bathrooms are standard for thailand, toilet, washbasin, shower, as can be found in thousands of cheaper hotels over thailand. hot shower had no earth wiring, which is potentially life-threatening.
we saw the bar and restaurant building discharge vile looking black sewage on to the beach/ into the sea where people swim. we asked the employees about it, but nobody seemed interested.
the main pool's water is dirty and murky. the small pool further north is nicer, but really small.
