Ideally located to access both sides of island, breakfast included, reasonably priced, great beach and pool area. Cheaper rooms not the best option I have stayed in this resort before and was impressed by the standard. Went for the cheaper rooms this year to my pearl. The rooms were not great and bathroom small. Had problems with both the toilet and shower. In addition there was a function hall above the garden view rooms. The resort itself is beautiful. Graet pool area, great beach, pleasant staff and good food. The resort has security at the entrance also. If you do choose thi sresort and can afford the better room s then I would strongly advise it.

Breakfast, beach, pool, children friendly. Mosquitos from the mangrowes, expensive food. The staff was exellent, although there was too many mosiquitos because of the mangroves. The breakfast was excellent and so the service. The beach was nice and clean and so was the pool. It was good for children. I would not stay again beacaus of the mosqutos but that depends on if you stay in the more expensive parts I dont think that there are any of them.
Restaurant Tip : walk up the road and eat at the korean restaurang, much cheaper and better food!

Private beach, relaxing environment, excellent swimming pool, decent clean rooms (Stayed in Seaview Villas), good food at the restaurant. Good for those who just want to relax or have their own transportation to go to other activities on the island. Beach chairs were very limited. Pool not open after dusk (No lights in the pool). No manager on site or if he was, he did not make himself available or noticed at all. Priced a little high for rooms and food vs the value (even considering the location). Overall the time at this hotel was very pleasing. There were a few occasions of problems that I did not expect for the price that we paid.
We had 6 kids (combination of groups that met at the pool) that ordered ice cream. After ordering, the staff could not give us the ice cream because the freezer was locked and no one had the key. No consolation was offered other than buying something at the store.
There were other occasions that I had wanted to talk to the manager but could not. I do not mind paying a high price for service, but then I expect the service.
Hotel Feature Tip : If you have your significant other with you already and you just want to get away and relax or you have your own transportation, this is the best hotel to stay (in my opinion).
If you are single and\or want nightlife, stay at white sands beach.

Good place for honeymooners and a minute walk to the beach. Poor Customer service and old rooms Near to the beach, silent place as it is secluded from a busy white beach yet the shower/restroom is obsolete (old and dirty).
Staff arent friendly and accomodating. Basic room service were not completely provided. towels and etc.
The value of money is not worth to the quality of stay.

Location at beach. Great swiming pool. Our room did lack a bit of cleaning.
More beach chairs desirable. This was our second stay at the Klong Prao Resort and it pleased us well. Its a good place to relax. Excelent breakfast bufé and a good resturant at location near the beach. Frendly staff. All in all it made a great impresion and we are looking forward to return again.

This hotel got a beautiful beach, so calm & relax; the whol layout of this hotel is peaceful, lovely swimming pool as well. rich & delicous breakfast offered daily. the room(D) I stayed was a bit too small, & there are no hooks or a stand for guests to hang towels after used. My family did enjoy stay at this hotel, they love the beach, pool & food at this hotel, we wish to come back to Koh Chang very soon.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : try to visit those small islands if you have time, you will enjoy more....

The beach and the very nice beach restaurant. The massage was poor.
The breakfast not that good. It is a very nice place. The restaurant at the beach is great. The breakfast room , not that nice, the staff there not as friendly as in the restaurant. (sometimes the same people)
Our room, beach bungalow, was very nice. The stuff friendly.
We will like to come back.
You can make nice walks at the beach.
Travel tip : walk at the beach it is very nice

Excellence in customer service from all the staff we encountered. Clean and nicely designed rooms (We stayed in their premier accommodation the beach front bungalow). Ideal location on a very quiet& secluded area of beach with views of other little islands.
Pretty good breakfast selections and overall menu/food quality.
Great convenience store right there at the resort. We've visited resorts in Thailand and Koh Chang a few times, but were really impressed with Khlong Prao on every level. The geography is totally unique from other places on Koh Chang being that its situated directly on a real Lagoon that surrounds the property. The bungalows have views of ocean out front and the lagoon and mountains from your back porch/yard.
We highly recommend Khlong Prao, and will be returning again for sure.
Travel tip : You can get a reasonably priced scooter right at the front desk and rental company brings it to the lobby area. (BE CAREFUL on scooters, lots of hills and sharp turns around this area, and several bad tourist at fault accidents during our stay). The cabs from lobby to town are pretty cheap and probably a safer way to go.

Great location with nice views of the lagoon and ocean depending where your room is situated. The pool was beautiful with a swim up bar and spectacular views of the ocean. The restaurant is open from 6:30am-11:00pm. Hotel staff was less friendly than other resorts on the island, but still willing to accomodate. Air conditioning in my room stopped working one day, a common occurrance on the island. Overall, one of the nicer resorts on Koh Chang and being situated on the beach gives this resort my recommendation for a pleasant, affordable stay on Koh Chang.

Beautiful scenery, next to beach, restaurant is good, self contained. It's expensive for what it is. The overall picture of the hotel is good. It's big, the rooms are kept clean, and the restaurant's food is good. Breakfast is a waste of money though.
The rooms are simple but adequate. The bathroom could have been a lot better.
The beach is next to the hotel with some incredible scenery, and is close to attractions - elephant trekking, bars, white sand beach. The staff performance was adequate, nothing out of this world but not bad. They did replace a missing umbrella I suppose.
It is a good hotel, but I think you could get better for the money. I'm not sure in Koh Chang though. So overall it's good and I would reccomend it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you want bars, take taxi to white sand beach.

Although there were insects (dirty) in our room, the staff gave us immediately another room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Swimming with the elephants is great, treetop adventure is also very nice. You can best book it at the attraction itself, that is much cheaper.

Hotel is situated in a quiet part of the Island a few kilometers away from the main resort of Whitesands Beach. Best price I could find for resort on the beach in Koh Chang. The standard rooms could be better but all in all I have no complaints at the price. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. You need some transport to get around if you don't want to pay taxi fairs all the time. You can rent a motor bike at the Honda dealer right opposite the resort entrance.

Comparing with the price, it is a quite a good hotel for realxing. Blue ocean, white sand beach, good food with proper price, you can find anything here.
