On a hill overlooking the Gulf of Thailand sits this neat and tidy hotel with a secluded beach out front and rolling hills behind. Much of this island is untouched by the encroachment of civilization, and the hotel works to maintain that virgin quality in the light and simply decorated rooms. The nearby Koh Chang Marine National Park is one of Thailand's best kept secrets providing days of trekking, snorkeling or just staring wide-eyed at the beauty. The Koh Chang Grand Cabana Hotel has a lovely pool for lounging and good Thai food is served in the open air restaurant. This is a place for relaxing, so do visit the spa for the famous Thai massage.

Swimming pool doesn't look as good as in the photo. Breakfast is quite boring, we stayed there for 3 nights, 2 days, the food was almost exactly the same.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : U can contact reception for a half-day or an one-day trip to go snorkelling along the islands neraby. It is marvellous. Or at night u can take the local cab to chill out on some pubs at White Sand beach.

- copious breakfast
- staff a little disinterested
- swimming pool was muddy and rightly closed the last day (not hygienic enough I suppose)
We didn't have much choice for booking a hotel at Koh Chang during the christmas holidays (we booked only a week in advance). I tried to get the bed side lamp repaired, nothing happened --> had to go back three times before they brought a replacement.
There weren't much shops or restaurants around, but it was at the more quiet end of Klong Prao Beach.
