Ok breakfast, cheaper than the other resorts in the immediate area. Good location, right on the beach.

This seems to be one of the cheapest resort options in the immediate area. But you're better off moving along to Lonely Beach, where you can get yourself a bungalow for less which will be twice as nice. Nicer bars, restaurants and people.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Lonely Beach, Bang Bao, and the walk to Khlong Phlu waterfall.

The hotel was centrally located on White Sand Beach. Close to many restaurants and shops. The beach is beautiful. The swimming pool is fairly nice.

Rooms not at all as advertised. Staff could be lukewarm. Construction going on from the early morning.

I spend about half my life in Thailand, but had never gone to Koh Chang. Picked the Kacha from the photos and one recommendation. I assumed the rooms would be at least a Thailand version of 4-Star. Not. We stayed in the most expensive room, Oceanfront Villa. Hasn't been remodeled in a long time. Had to pay extra for WiFi. Staff was helpful to a point. I speak a bit of Thai and was with my Thai wife. The staff was not as friendly as would be expected. Construction going on from 9 in the morning. Restaurant was decent, but not great. Would also most likely stay further up the beach next time. White sand beach is not particularly special. Koh Chang on the other hand is magnificent and should not be missed.

Hotel Feature Tip : Kai Bae Beach looks like a better area to stay.

1) Beautiful swimming pool 2) Right by the beach 3) Convenient location, with good food nearby

1) The beach outside the resort was rocky

Koh Chang Kacha is a very comfortable resort to stay in. The swimming pool is big and beautifully decorated, situated right by the beach. I would recommend the resort to couples seeking a romantic trip. If you know how to ride, you can even rent motorbikes nearby the resort. Transportation in Koh Chang is NOT convenient at all. Without your own means of transport, you would have to rely on the taxi services that shuttle between different parts of the island. Per trip costs about a couple of hundred baht.

weve stayed at the kacha twice now its a great location for the beach and bars and shops although we moved on to coconut beach this is a graet hotel with a fantastic pool and resturant with friendly staff

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : if you jump into a taxi 50 baht each to coconut beach walk threw the hotel ground for about 5 mins it brings you to the best beach on the island better than lonely beach also look for the waiter in the kacha called sakon he is a great lad who cant do enough to help.

Location is good and convenience. Hotel staff are nice and helpful.

Despite being an early bird booking, the hotel seems to been over-booked and still has to put me in a room next to the car park when the facilities in the room I have booked need one more day to fix.

Shopping Tip : Nothing to buy.

The pool was gorgeous, plenty of sunbeds available, breakfast was more than adequate, and the room was large and comfy, bathroom was massive, room service/house cleaning left everything sparkling.

Front desk staff's service left a little to be desired, they seemed uninterested in you most of them time and didn't go out fo their way to help you out. (House cleaning staff were chirpy and friendly tho', as were the pool staff)

The poolside area, with it numerous sunbeds (some facing the gorgeous beach so you could watch the sunset), pool bar, lack of strong-smelling chlorine and friendly staff, was one of the highlights. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate, offering everything from western-style pancakes, bacon and eggs, cereal etc, to traditional thai dishes. There was also an omelet station. House cleaning and room service staff were super-friendly, and although at time the front desk staff seemed less than interested in helping you out, they did always manage to deliver the good, and were able to offer day trips and activities, as well as airport shuttles etc. My room, despite being only that of a "standard" status, was large and spacious, sparkling clean and with a large bathroom offering separate shower and bathtub. All in all, a pleasant stay.

Wounderful location with the swimming pool close to the beach. Beautiful sunset.

Cats running around the table at the beach restaurant. Charge for dirty spots on the bed sheets.

Wounderful location with the swimming pool close to the beach. Beautiful sunset. A bad thing was cats running around the table at the beach restaurant. My wife was bit by a cat that rendered a vaccination with a cost of 42 000 Bath. Another bad thing was charge for dirty spots on the bed sheets actually caused by a wet swimming suite, the dirty spot coming from the mattress when the sheet became wet.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Possibility to book tour at the hotel with riding on elephants and a snorkeling tour and beach visit on five small islands.

Wonderful staff,great pool,

Use of the internet was exspencive and systen had a tendancy to freeze you out whilst still charging you.

A pleasant location with great veiws. A wonderful lagoon style pool, with its own bar. Our stay was enhancesd by friendly welcoming staff. Would have scored higher if they had at least stated the cost of the internet on the site as opposed to finding out when you arrive something that i find particulary anoying!

Nice staff, the breakfast was really good, with an omelet station. A good variety of both Thai and Western Food. A beautiful view from the restaurant and the lovely pool seemed like it was right on the beach.. There was no problem getting a lounge chair and fresh towels by the pool. Sleeping at night was very quiet even though their is some construction going on across the street.

The price was very high for Thailand, the beds rock hard.

The staff were really nice. The room we got was quite plain but adequate and clean. The bed was so hard however we couldn't sleep on it, it was like sleeping on the floor. We told them this the next day as we had planned on staying 9 nights. One of the problems is once you have arrived at a hotel, if you don't like it for some reason such as the beds being just too hard to sleep on you can't get out of your contract and lose your money. This was a dilema for us as not a lot of fun not being able to sleep. The hotel explained that they would move us but all their mattress were the same. We have travelled 4 times in Thailand and have had some hard mattress before but these really were bad. They were kind enough to put a few quilts under us which did help a lot. What will do from now on is only book one night with Agoda until we actually see the place unless we have stayed there before, and if we like what we see then we will get on the internet and book it for the time we want. Agoda asked the hotel if they would let us out of the contract which they have with them and the hotel said we would lose all the money we had payed for the remaining 8 nights. This hotel was so expensive it wasn't an option for us. We appreciated Agoda trying. Make sure you read the cancellation policy. Good if you are cancelling way ahead of time but if you go and don't like what you see you are out of luck.

Travel tip : Nice restaurants with great food along the strip Laundry great price away from the hotel. The internet is twice as much to use at the hotel as everywhere else on the strip across the street. Also going to the ferry on the hotel shuttle cost way more than just standing at the end of the driveway and picking up a shuttle on the road.

The best of the hotel is, that is lay down the beach, just a few seconds walk, the swimmingpool is big enough. The food is for a good price.

The frontdesk staff was very kranky most of the time, the breakfast could be better.

It was a very good stay, good value for the money you must pay for a night. The staff at the frontdesk must learn better english. The food was very good, and it was cheap to, but you could better walk down the beach for another place to eat, it's much better then the food at the hotel.

Restaurant Tip : go to the bamboo restaurant at the beach near the resort at the right site.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean bedroom and bathroom, quiet beach, and large swimming pool.

Bathroom was a bit outdated, not a whole lot of staff working around the pool.

Our deluxe room was in a 2 level, 4 unit building that was detached from the main hotel. The main hotel appeared to have been renovated more recently, so our room and bathroom seemed to be a bit outdated than the rooms in the main hotel. The balconies in this 4 unit building face check-in and the parking area, so there wasn't much privacy. Other than that, our room and bathroom were clean and good value for the money. The hotel staff were very friendly and were very eager to help. There were not many hotel staff though working around the swimming pool, so ordering food or drinks while sun bathing was a bit of a challenge. However, once the hotel staff were tracked down, then they were very eager to assist. The swimming pool was a nice size pool with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. The location of the swimming pool was very nice as it was located right off of the beach. The location of the hotel was very convenient as it was very easy to walk to restaurants, banks, bars, pubs, etc. along White Sand Beach. There was only one restaurant at the hotel, but the food was very good. If we go back to Koh Chang, then we would consider staying at this hotel again.

Great Staff Location

Shower

The Kacha Resort and Spa has very nice and helpful staff. The actual resort was fine. The only downside was the shower. After a long day in the sun on the jetboats and then coming back to a really nice hotel to have it ruined by a dud shower (thats a bit extreme, it might have been just that room). The New Years Eve dinner was a good. Nice food on the beachside. The entertainment was a bit of a fizz though. Just not my scene, more for the family types. All in all a good encounter.
