Swings on the Beach
Noisy- but not excessively so air con, only item that let the room down
Wonderful place to stay and relax. Our bungalow was set back from the beach and screened from our neighbours. A minutes walk to the beach or pool. The room was spacious and King Size bed- well enormous. The bathroom was a delight with a wonderful shower cubicle. The restaurant served and presented wonderful food- with refreshingly fairly priced drinks.

Very attentive staff
Bungalows a few paces from the sandy beach
Restaurant menu caters for Thai and Western tastes - reasonable choices if travelling with children
As with most restaurants in Thailand, the highchairs have no straps so are useless for babies/toddlers. Luckily we took our own portable seat which strapped to the chair.
This was our first visit to Koh Chang and we loved the Koh Chang Paradise Resort. Travelling with 2 small children, we needed somewhere easy to stay and for the kids to have room to play. From the moment we arrived, the staff were very attentive, making sure we had everything we needed in the bungalow. They did actually offer us a free upgrade to a larger room, but we wanted to be on the seafront so chose not to take the upgrade. We had a beachfront room at the very far end of the resort, which meant we had the beach to ourselves but it was a bit of a walk to the pool and the restaurant. Luckily the resort is very buggy-friendly so our toddler could be pushed around easily. The tide was quite high in the mornings, so the kids loved to play in the children's pool, then played on the beach in the afternoons when the tide had gone back a bit. Restaurant was very good and reasonable prices. Breakfast was good considering the price was 150 Baht if you don't already have it included in your booking.

Nice and clean room and facilities, very courteous staff, and secluded area of the beach.
We really enjoyed our time there. Having a coffee maker in the room would have been great!
Paradise Resort was recommended to us by some friends and it did not disappoint. It was in a nice area of the island that was family friendly and low key on the night life. The staff were always ready to assist and the room had a monstrous bed with great air-con unit. A couple things that could be better: the coffee was very bitter at breakfast and there wasn't a beach until the sun was almost down. I think the beach aspect was probably related to the time of year we stayed at Paradise Resort. Overall, it was a great place and I would stay there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The elephant trekking was just down the road!

Beautiful, nice massages, clean, only saw one Jelly fish the entire time we were there (other beaches we have visited have had tons of them!!)
The "play ground" was kind of a joke (only a see-saw, rope climbing thing and a bridge they could walk on but that wasn't even really open when we were there) so it's not as kid friendly as some of the places we have gone, but it wasn't difficult to have kids there either.
We liked this place and really liked Koh Chang. It was beautiful and the rooms were spacious. There are lots of places right down the street to eat and shop so you don't have to pay the more expensive prices at the hotel. However, if you do opt to eat at the hotel restaurant, it is very good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't go to the first Elephant Ride stand. There are at least three different places and we stopped at the first one. We felt they were a little rough on their elephants and the safety was a little questionable. This was our families third elephant ride since moving to Thailand and we have definitely had better.

Very nice and professional staff.
Quieter location than many places.
Grounds are beautiful and peaceful.
Our rooms were clean and good sized.
We enjoyed the beach (my wife really liked the beach swings)
A few good places to eat nearby.
Great little grocery store nearby.
Pool a bit small (we have children).
Some might like to be closer to more shops/restaurants.
Often in Thailand, the internet pictures and information overstates how good a hotel is. For us, this was not the case. The staff were extremely courteous and professional and we really liked the hotel location. Even had some small waves on the beach and our 10 year old son got to try surfing. We will definitely go back again.
Restaurant Tip : Just outside of the hotel is a small restaurant called Strawberry Moons. A bit high priced for us to go daily but the atmosphere is great - especially for families.

Beautiful little bungalows. Heaps of room inside with big separate bathroom. All have full a/c. Seaside bungalows a few steps from the beach.
I would recommend staying at the Koh Chang Paradise Resort. I initially stayed for the first 4 nights in a seaside bungalow which was a few steps from the beach. Although the weather was no good (monsoon) whilst I was there, I decided to stay another few nights and had to change rooms so I stayed in a deluxe garden bungalow which was also a few steps from the beach. Both of the different styles of bungalows had king size beds, full a/c and big bathrooms. Both were extremely clean and were fully serviced each day. The hotel staff, particularly in the dining room during breakfast and on reception, were very nice and always smiling. Taxis are always waiting out the front of the resort to get to any other section of the island so transport is easy to come by. I would definitely recommend staying at this resort but make sure you go during high season and not monsoon. It didn't stop raining for the entire week that I was on Koh Chang!!
Restaurant Tip : Recommend eating at the 'Yes' restaurant across the road from the resort (next to the Police Box). Staff are extremely friendly, seafood is cheap and all food excellent. Great pizzas there too.

The resort is located on the beach with a nice pool.
The layout of the resort is very impersonal.
The Resort was much bigger than I expected and the bungalos are very close together. The rooms were comfortable and the location was on a nice beach, but there was no privacy in the endless sums of bungalos and travelers.

Nice bungalows, clean and modest furnitured. We missed nothing at all. Sitting on the veranda was relaxing, excellent view directly on the beach. Friendly staff.
Bungalows are overpriced in high season and could be bigger in terms of square meters.
The beach is one of the best I have seen in the last 20 years in Thailand. Clean, white powder sand, no littering and long enough for good jogging in morning time. The bungalows itself are nicely furnitured, but could be a big larger. Mandi styled bathroom, very big. Cleanness was perfect and the friendlyness of the staff just perfect. People made it easy for us to stay. Restaurant food quality is really good, a bit overpriced for Thailand but ok for Koh Chang. Only the pool was a bit crowded if more then 20 people. We will go again.
Travel tip : it's just perfect for relaxing and romantic holidays.

parking too small, lots of weekend guests
We liked the hotel and plan to come back, although during the weekend it was very crowded, there was no parking space left. Even at the pool there were no towels left. The service was very nice and attentive, the "european" breakfast ok, the asian not spicy enough. You should have a car or bike to stay there, as there is not much within walking distance.
Nightlife Tip : very quiet place, NO activities during the evening

Good and friendly staff. Personal touch in all contact with hotel staff. Personal welcome letter in the room at arrival and check out reminder with some advise before checkout. Good state of maintenance of the resort. Great breakfast. Can reccoment this resort 100%.
Did not find any other then some small construction noise in daytime because a outside fence/wall was build. But that was very minor and temporary.
I can advise/recomment this Resort to any one who likes a good resort at sea side with almost private beach. Wonderful place to be.
p.s. The pool was good to. No high concentration of chemicals as stated in a review before. It was good!

All front row accomodation is right on the beach
Rooms large enough, goods TV, great bed, large bathroom
Not much breeze for the rooms not on the beachfront
We stayed at Koh Chang Paradise Resort in June 2008, stayed in a superior beachfront bungalow, with two adults and a 3 year old, with our own transportation.
Room was great, not the biggest room but perfect for a beach holiday, they also have some deluxe beachfront bungalows that have larger rooms. Room had a Big TV, great bed and large bathroom, the best part is having only the grass and palm trees between you and the beach.
Swimming pool was great, spa massage excellent, restraunt was breezy and reasonably priced for Koh Chang.
Would have no hesitation recommending this place to anyone I knew who was headed to kho Chang
Restaurant Tip : The food at Kati restraunt near Tropicana resort entrance is awesome, Ning will teach you how to cook if you like, southern end of Klong Phrao beach

Staff speak English, good location, great place
This is a great place, very private. We went off season and there was hardly anyone there. So can't tell you what it's like during peak season. The staff are very helpful and very friendly. The rooms were wonderful and the beach is clean and regardless of what room you have chosen you are but moments from the beach. We will be back again!
Restaurant Tip : Walk along the beach there are a couple of restaurants close by one does fire twirling about 7pm each night both serve cheap tasty food and good cocktails hahaha.

location and the private pool. great room great staff
they put way to much chemicals in the pool could cut the portion in half actually asked the cleaner not to add chemicals because H2O was fine but he did without testing if the water needed it.
My daughter and I were in Thailand to celebrate Mothers day. This was one of our favorite hotels we added an extra day. Great beach. The private pool is wonderful. The room was spacious and comfortable and even though the hotel was full there was a sense of privacy. the hotel staff was great they became our friends and the breakfast is real treat overlooking the beach with a great selection of Thai and American food. I will definately be returning to this hotel loved it.
Restaurant Tip : We really enjoyed the fire dancing on sunset at lonely beach you need to take the taxi or like my daughter rent a motorscoter for 200 bht a day great deal. We also liked the barbecue fish at treehouse right next to lonely beach the service is slow but it has a great view a band and hippie cliental

Clean, modern bungalows in garden surroundings.
Helpful staff.
Good restaurant.
We chose the Koh Chang Paradise Resort because it looked like a quiet, restful place about half-way down the island and we were very pleased with our choice. We were there out of season and practically had the beach to ourselves. The resort's pool was pleasant.
The resort is right on the beach. The spacious and clean bungalows are set in a garden with a lot of trees and bushes, although only a few bungalows actually have views of the beach. Each bungalow has a veranda with a couple of armchairs (and mosquitos).
For some reason or other, sunbathing on Klong Prao beach is not allowed.
There are a few small businesses and places to eat along the road near the Paradise Resort, but this is not an area for those who like to browse in shops and markets.
The staff was always very gracious and helpful.
We ate only Thai food during our stay, and thought the open-air restaurant was very good both for breakfast and dinner. A couple of times, just for a change, we took a short taxi ride to eat at White Sand beach, which is a much livlier place.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : About 5 minutes by taxi down the road, there is a waterfall and also an elephant-ride place.
