decent buffet breakfast.
Olympic pool good if you are into that, quite unattractive and useless other wise.
Small pool very nice. Standard bungalows have no hot water and no flush toilet which is ridiculous. Standard room has flush toilet, no hot water and is poorly maintained and furnished. Staff was lovely but owner was neurotic at times and made us feel uncomfortable. We were very disappointed with this experience. There was absolutely no beach and too far to walk to any sand. The bungalows and rooms have no views to speak of and ours looked out on a rubbish heap. In order to get hot water I had to upgrade for an extra money. The breakfast was good but owner hovers while you eat.

The Koh Chang Resortel was a beautiful hotel with a very nice ocean front restaurant, sunsets, incredible swimming pools and an unbelievably friendly and gracious staff. The beach, ocean area was a bit rocky, but it was easy to take the baht bus to sandy beaches. Dr. David (the host/manager) and his entire family and staff were wonderful hosts to this beautifully designed and decorated hotel just south of White Sand Beach in Koh Chang. Located in a quiet part of the Koh Chang National Par, with the ocean and sunsets just in front of the hotel, and the mountains and rain forest right behind it, it was all one could ask for in a Thai Tropical resort. The full sized Olympic swimming pool, and other pools and gardens made a beautiful setting. It was wonderfullly quiet and peaceful just out of the high season. I highly reccomend this hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The day trip cruise boat to the southern islands of Koh Mak, etc. was very good with beautiful colored reefs to snorkle. The elephant day trek and swim was tons of fun!

Although billed as Sai Kao the hotel is a good 4km's outside of the town and not walkable.
The owners have spent a lot of money on making the rooms very comfortable and the pool / pool area is excellent.
They have either run out of money or it's a case of 'work in progress' (although none was to be seen) regarding the gardens and particularily the restaurant.
As for the beach...there isn't one!

Room has an atmosphere of Thailand Swimming pool with pool 2. Pool game has a large comfortable atmosphere. Sea water will not play and to the swimming pool not as clean. Section down to eat breakfast if lines are not filled will be just another food fried egg breakfast. A sausage dish.

Wide and clean rooms. Quiet atmosphere is ideal for relaxation. And also a swimming pool, children's and adult services, the hotel is friendly. Breakfast is diversity. Beach Hotel is a rock but can not wade. A swimming pool for adults wide. The child's environment pond 2 is not that great morning and evening. Beach water is not to play away from the hotel about much less than impressive 10 minutes and clean white sandy beaches. And close to amenities.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Buy souvenir T socket some villages. And fresh seafood restaurants. Do not forget to visit the viewpoint with exquisite ask tell
