On a private beach, nestled between green hills on 90,000 Square Meters, sits this new (June 2008) hotel with uncompromised luxury. Located on Koh Chang, the villas and rooms have highly polished teak floors, white walls, teak trim and many windows to the outside gardens. The hotels’ location is perfect for hikes through the forest, treks to a waterfall, kayaking through a mangrove forest and sail boating. The tranquil infinity pool is a gem of a setting for reading and dozing. The restaurants have lots of fresh caught fish, Thai food cooked to your demands, and International treats. A business center, if you must, is also available or workout in the health club followed by a long Massage. This is Thailand at its best.

Staff very kind, clam, private and beautiful room, but weird design some design for right handed while some design for left handed,
- No cable TV have only indoor antenna and can not receive all local channel.
- Food at resort compare with quality and quantity it expensive murderously, wait for food about 50 min, only 2 waiters almost guest do self service but resort still charge 10% for service charge, if deliver to room the service charge is 20% plus.
Don’t waste your money at resort restaurant except you have no choice.
- Resort has no security guard.
- A lot of mosquito and insect at night.
- Very far from pier and restaurant out side resort (10 Km drive)
If you bring own car, like clam and private don’t like to watch TV, can wait for 1 hour, can eat everything. This resort will be fine for you but for me it was the first time and the last time.
May 1st 2009 resort is not fully operational
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don’t miss to take hold day snorkel trip beautiful sea and coral try to contract Slak-phet resort which is most near less to resort.

Wonderful location, very unspoilt area, great pool, very comfortable accommodation. Bar and restaurant facilities very limited and service rudimentary. Drinks available limited to beer and some soft drinks only. Housekeeping services only just adequate. Beach very muddy at low tide. No sailing facilities yet built. The hotel website is very optimistic - and although the ideas are imaginative and the claims bold the actual delivery is very poor. Staff are willing but untrained, with little idea what resort guests might expect. For example, there is no service at all in the pool area so that if one needs a towel, a drink, or even a sunshade, you must walk up to the hotel (a steep climb) to find it. At low tide the sea views disappear, and the beach is muddy and poorly maintained. There is no transport available so visiting other parts of the island is difficult - the only option being to order a taxi from another area. The location is wonderful and unspoilt and in time this resort could be really good, but still has a long way to go.
Restaurant Tip : If you want to drink something other than beer or coke - take your own!

Good overall design
Beautiful grounds

Very friendly staff
Staff, though very friendly, were hopelessly amateur and slow: it was impossible to imagine that they could deal with a crowd
Simple things were not in stock/available (e.g. crabs, for which Koh Chang is renowned, e.g. lime to go with gin and tonic, etc, etc)
Dogs raided litter bins and left litter lying around the grounds which was not tidied up quickly
The beach invariably had no sea! The sea is very shallow here and goes out a long way - not a beach for swimming
The swimming pool is close to the main building and yet very separate, and has no faciltiies to hand (bar, snacks, staff)
The hotel is isolated, and transportation is expensive: there should be regular courtesy buses
The details of the design are often poor - e.g. our bathroom floor was always wet because water flowed from the shower, across the floor to the drain at the other side of the room; e.g., our friends had a sea-view villa, but the balcony did not face the sea, even though it could have done!
This is a lovely hotel which has been constructed to a high standard, but it is still very new and raw. Give it two years, when the lansdscape has matured and the staff have been properly trained and are efficient, and it will be fine. It was sad that the owners (who visited for two days whilst we were there) did not think to sit down with us and discuss our experience and observations.
Restaurant Tip : If you go to the southern end of the island on this side, there is a wonderful fish restaurant (Salath Peth) with the most fantastic seafood. Go to the other side and down to the southern end (Bang Bao), out along the pier and to the Buddha View Reataurant which was the highlight of our gastronomic experiences
