Villa's are beautiful. Surrounded by a tropical garden. Swimmingpool is very nice. Everything is kept clean very well. Staff is very friendly. You can use the hotelbus to Bang pao (to eat p.e.) and to beaches. Very nice and quiet beaches. Breakfast was o.k.

People at the reception did nog speak enough English to arrange things. Some of the drivers spoke a little bit English and helped sometimes to resolve a problem.

We liked our stay in Nisa Cabana very much. The hotelvilla's are beautiful, clean, provided with everything you need. The garden around the villa's was so romantic with lots of trees and flowers. The swimmingpool was just gorgious. Everybody who worked at the hotel was very friendly, they knew what you wanted before you know it your self. Helpful to arrange excursions, it would be nice when their English was better. The hotelbus brings you to nice beaches and to the fishervillage Bang Pao. We would like to stay again in Nisa Cabana.

Hotel Feature Tip : English speaking must be improved

Everything.

Having previously booked in for nine days, we decided to use most of our time left on Koh Chang by booking in for another three nights! - It's the sort of place that just draws you back. - This time we discovered the 365 steps down the cliff that takes you to a rocky shoreline - great place to sit and contemplate in total privacy. One tip...take a banana or two with you to give you the energy to run back up!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to Kai Bae and walk left on the beach almost to the end and watch the sunset over the sea in a TREE HOUSE at Porn Bungalows, sipping juice from a young coconut (or something stronger if you prefer!) - The food there is also great and good value.

Quiet location, helpful, friendly staff. Lovely large, clean rooms. Fantastic infinity pool with comfortable loungers. Free WIFI in rooms and Complimentary shuttle service to and from Bang Bao and Kai Bae.

We stayed nine nights at Nisa Cabana. We were made very welcome by really friendly staff who wanted to make our stay a really memorable one (in the right sort of way)! Set in natural woodland on a hillside facing seawards, this is a perfect place to chill out. As well as a very comfortable room with all the expected facilities associated with a hotel of this standard, there is a library/table-top games room. There is also a large infinity pool with a jacuzzi with all-day sunshine and a great place to be as the sun goes down. Set in woodland, the villas are well spaced apart and unlike the photo on the web site the vegetation now fills in all the gaps. There is a walk way down through the woodland over a bridge featuring a pond with lots of tadpoles and if you sit quietly (by the pool) you may see a variety of birds and the occasional fruit bat. We were also lucky to see the a monkey eating berries off a tree. Breakfast was included and we discovered that apart from ordering Western food from the menu, we could also order thai food which we enjoyed thoroughly. Although Nisa Cabana is in an isolated location there is no trouble asking for free ride to the stilted fishing village of Bang bao (a 'must visit' place on anyones itinerary) and/or a trip to the Beach at Kai Bae. Arranging a trip couldn't have been easier - we just went to the reception and within five minutes we were on our way! - Transport could be arranged day or night and they even picked us up to bring us back. (saved us a fortune in taxi fares, particularly at night). Other people had hired motor bikes to allow them total freedom but the roads in Koh Chang are very dangerous (mountainous and windy) so we declined this form of transport. Nisa Cabana is unique on Koh Chang for its location, friendliness and service. This hotel would appeal to people who want to be far enough away from the usual holiday scene without being cut off while at the same time appreciating the more natural environment of Ko

Restaurant Tip : Superb fish restaurants in Bang boa

Beutiful surrounds, we stayed in a garden bungalow and the rooms were fantastic. Swimming pool is brilliant. Staff were very helpful. Free drop off and pick up to Bang Bao. Breakfast very good. Access to the sea via the cliff (alot of stairs but very nice) Fish restaurants in Bang Bao are very nice but close quite early.

restauraunt did not open in the evening (but it was the end of the low season)

We had a great stay at the Nisa Cabana. It was exactly what we were looking for the views are amazing and the facilities were top notch. If you are looking for somewhere nice to relax this is def the place to go. The is a seperate libary room which was good to chill out in and the pool was really something special. The restaurant being closed was not too much of a problem (open for a very nice breakfast) as the free transfers to Bang Bao were upon request so did not effect our stay and the little village is very nice and the sea food was great. Out ofall the places we stayed on koh chang this was my favourite and by far the best value for money. It has all the benefits of being a high class resort but it does not loss its cosy island appeal.

Nightlife Tip : The only bar we found was above a shop but it was very nice and a perfect place to have a couple of beers before / after stuffing yourself with sea food.

Everything was just excellent. One of the best/nicest hotels i have stayed in ever.

Nothing.

Extremely nice people working there, i mean everyone was so nice there. Location was perfect for us, it's quiet there, all you hear is waves from the ocean, birds and insects at night. Easiest is to rent a motorcycle to move around the island. The bungalows where also very nice and modern, it felt like you could stay there forever first second you walked in the room.

Hotel Feature Tip : The pool was nice, we where at Nisa Cabana just before the high season before all the other tourist came. So the pool was almost empty everyday, felt like a private pool =D

Wonderful staff, rain-forest like feel, well appointed bungalows, away from the riff-raff

none

My second stay at Nisa Cabana was just as wonderful as my first. Traveling with a 3 month old baby, she loved the peace and quiet along with the lush tropical setting. My parents, also along for the ride, thought it was one of the nicest hotels they had ever stayed at. The breakfast in the morning is filling and tasty. The beach shuttle is easy to arrange, and the nearby beach gave me the feeling of Thailand beaches ten years ago - deserted and clean. Nearby Bang Bao fishing village also has a few excellent seafood restaurants.

Hotel Feature Tip : Sunset bungalows have heavenly Hawaii-esque views

great staff (always trying to help, very kind and nice); great pool; beautiful view over the ocean; quiet location; clean, modern villas; delicious food\ good restaurant; natural but clean surroundings

no direct beach access (which is no problem if you have a motorbike); restaurant is very good but not cheap

Nisa Cabana is a great hide away resort, loacated close to Bang Bao, which offers a wide variety of restaurants, shops and also a good beach. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the beach and to the village itself. The staff is absolutely great, very helpful and very kind. The pool area is big and offers a nice view over the ocean.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : renting a motorbike is a cheap and easy way to get everywhere in ko chang

Relaxing, great service, beautiful swimming pool, staff are very sweet and helpful.

Hotel's restaurant offers Thai & International menus with good quality but quite high price. A little far from everything.

There is no beach, but the hotel was able to run us down to a small beach nearby. Nice design of swimming pool. Staff is very nice. The hotel is located nearby Bangbao bay, the nice place for seafood.

Restaurant Tip : Bang Bao Bay is located nearby the hotel. It's the nice place for fresh seafood.

this hotel is in the forest. very quiet.

far from sea. no restaurant near here.

I like this hotel very much because it's very quiet and you can stay in a lot of trees. You cannot find restaurant near here, so you have to drive till restaurants. View from this hotel is also very nice. About dinner, the taste is O.K., but it takes time to cook.

Very hide away.

Food was so so & a bit cold.

Very privacy hotel. The best place refresh your energy and to spend the long holiday with your love ones. Although it was quite far from the crowd around the ferry pier, it was closed to fisherman village which full of good food.

Great services, beautiful interior & exterior, quiet, swimming pool with great sea&horizon view

far from the beach (can reach by hotel's service taxi), small room - not suits for family

Hotel with great peaceful atmosphere. Gentle & warm service. I appreciate staffs' polite conversations to everybody from guests to each of themselves. The hotel locates on the hill with wide angle view of Thai Gulf, far from the beach. You have to ask the staff for taxi service that will take you to Bang Bao Bay and Fisherman Village. Guest rooms are beautiful and clean. There are also library and swimming pool + pool bar you can watch the sea while swimming. Room rates at the time I book the room include breakfast and afternoon tea.

Restaurant Tip : Hotel's restaurant offers Thai & International menus with good quality but quite high price. You can ask for hotel's taxi to go to Fisherman's Village, where there are variety choices of seafood.

Quiet, relaxing, with helpful staff.

A little far from everything. Restaurant and bar was closed during our visit.

Rooms are finished to a high standard. Although a little far from restaurants and bars the hotel ran us down to lonely beach and we where able to call them to pick us up. There is no beach, but again the hotel was able to run us down to a small quiet beach nearby. Fantasic pool, again every relaxing and nicely designed.

Shopping Tip : Head down to the harbour and bargain away before feasting on fresh seafood or catching a drink as the sun sets.

Restaurant Tip : ไปหาทานข้างนอกโรงแรมดีกว่า แถวนั้นมีร้านดังๆเยอะ ที่อาหารสด และอร่อย

Clean and spacious villas, beautiful swimming pool. Hotel is located almost entirely in the jungle so nature lovers can enjoy animal sounds all night, very helpful staff. Bang Bao fishing village is a 10-minute walk away but don't do it at night unless you are feeling brave!

I think the hotel could offer massage/ spa treatment because it is far from White Sand Beach and the other touristy areas and is most likely to be visited by people who want complete relaxation and *isolation*, so it is inconvenient to leave the premises in order to get massage. One more thing - villas don't have clean up/don't disturb sign for guests to put up so staff come and disturb a few times a day. Warn reception if you want peace.

We had an extremely pleasant stay at Nisa Cabana. It is a solid 4-star/ 4 1/2 star hotel. It does not have its private beach but there always is a minivan available to take you to Bang Bao beach. Staff are very sweet and helpful, buffet breakfast is good, and during our stay we received complimentary tea & cookies each afternoon. If you're lucky you can see monkeys - one came up to the shrine at the entrance of the hotel and ate the bananas staff had left! Rooms were very clean - snowwhite bedding and flower decoration on the bed. We stayed in a garden view villa and yes, the sea view villas have an outdoor bathtub while garden view villas only have a shower inside, but be sure you're still going to get quality if you pick the garden view villa - it's the cheaper option but that doesn't make it any worse. The hotel is not near the touristy/bar areas like White Sand Beach but its guests are unlikely to be backpackers or people who are after wild nightlife.

Travel tip : If you would like to dine out - try the seafood restaurants in Bang Bao village where a dish is usually about 100-150 Baht and you can enjoy a meal sat on a veranda stilted in the water. If you want to get to White Sand - taxi fare shouldn't be more than 100 Baht per person so bargain! Don't do laundry at the hotel as their rates are extremely high - right before you turn onto the road that leads into Bang Bao there are small bungalow laundry shops that do a perfect job at 30 Baht/kg.

- nice atmosphere\n- newly renovated\n

- distance to the beach (low importance for us, for others maybe more important)

We were satisfied with the hotel and might choose it once again in the near future for an extended weekend. For beach-lovers it is the wrong location but for us it was ideal.\n\nNice atmosphere, including monkeys and jungle feeling :-)
