This is the best place we have ever stayed. We definitely fell under the charme of this little heaven.
The staff will stay quiet, respect your privacy, but always here when you need.
Lots of surprises that i can't describe here in case of you go there one day. Nothing to complain about.

Very nice resort but lacking in some respects.
The pool was very nice and beach service was great.

Loved the pool and the beach massage was awesome and inexpensive.
Unfortunately, the room A/C temp could not be controlled and the room was either too hot or freezing. Also, the mattress was too hard.
The room was advertised as having Wifi but it never worked from the room and was very slow from other location.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Rent a scooter for about $10 per day plus fuel and tour the island. The quiet east side of the island is worth the ride.

Lovely hotel and beautiful beach

The hotel is beautiful, very peaceful. The rooms were comfortable, enough space, big beds. We had a room on the second (top) floor so the balcony was nice and spaceous, lovely view at the pool but still enough privacy behind the trees. The rooms at the ground floor have a little terrace at the front which are only a few steps from the pool. Pool is nice and big with whirlpool and kids section. The beach was the best, not too busy and clean. Good beds and outdoor massage (reaonable priced!).
Service at the front desk was perfect. They were very helpful and kind. Restaurant service differs per person. Some were very kind, some seemed not to be happy with their job. Breakfast was quite good, Thais, Chinese and Western. Con: food was not covered well enough, flies all over the food!
Restaurant menu could be better. We missed a lot of local dishes, but on the other side they had plenty of Western dishes to offer. Price was reasonable for hotel standards.
We were glad we have chosen this hotel, besides the few points for improvement we think the environment is more important. Will definately come back again!

Great resort with great rooms

Over all the resort is a great stay. The staff are very helpfully and attentive. Breakfast was excellent with a resonanle choice. A very nice beach BQQ and dinner served on the beach was a great treat. We really enjoyed cocktails in the pool with a great cocktail selection and well made. The rooms are excellent, we also stayed in the villa during our stay on the beach, either way deluxe or villa are a great choice.
Travel tip:
We took our own vehicle over on the ferry, this was handy and gave the flexibility to move around. I recommend moving around the island. Try to eat at italian invinto resturant great views and excellent food.

good hotel at the west coast

pros:
- fresh Thai noodle soup for breakfast
- familiar atmosphere (less than 60 rooms)
- good wifi availability
cons:
- the AMARI around the corner costs only a little more but is the much better spot
- rooms are smelly
- room a/c is very loud
- house keeping could do better
- construction work near the lobby in August 2012
- beach has a lot of rocks => swimming is dangerous!

Excellent small boutique hotel with good service

Stayed 8 nights. Very friendly staff and good services. Facilities are in a good design and new. Nevertheless in the rainy season, the beach is very dirty and the rain water and ground water somehow makes the drain in the bathroom to stink.

we stayed 6days 5nites here and trully enjoyed every minute.great hotel with perfect location right by the beach..and with equally beautiful sunset...staffs were extremely friendly and always greet u with a smile!!!

Happy Hours for cocktails are great!!Very good mixing by their cambodian staff!!

Good hotel with nice rooms

we stayed here for 6 nights during our honeymoon.
we doubted for the amari or the dewa. the dewa bus the better choice. the amari looked old and not as nice as the dewa. so if your going to choose. this would be it we think.
we booked an villa with breakfast. the room 999 was nice, clean and had an good overview on the ocean. you can however look at 3 neighbour terrace, so little privacy there. various reports say hard beds, this was however not true to our opinion. so no worries about that.
the beach was cleaned every morning, because there was a lot of debris washing on. however they only cleaned their beach and not the neighbours. so there was still a lot if you would walk 50 meters. the sea was rough, nice to have some waves! but there are a lot of rocks, so playing in the sea is not that nice. everybody layed on the beach chairs would go for a swim in the pool for this reason.
the umbrellas on the beach need replacement. thorn apart by overuse. the staf on the beach was a bit lazy, so we have to put the umbrellas up our selves.
the staf was not so friendly as we encountered on other resorts in thailand. they are friendly, but not as much as needed we think. when we wanted a late check-out for our evening flight. this was not possible due to full resort they said. however having it checked on agoda there were still a lot rooms left. after confronting this to the hotel manager this was not possible due to different room rates. very strange answer in our mind.
the breakfast was good, coffee not as good as can be.
wifi is free however usage of the computers in the resort is not. that's also a first in 6 weeks honeymoon round thailand, vietnam and cambodia. this is disappointing for checking in onward flights.
to conclude. very good resort, staf needs improvement as does the beach. otherwise is this on of the best options in koh chang!
Restaurant Tip:
Location is ok, but if you want to have a perfect Thai diner go to saffron on the sea 8km from the resort by motorcycle. As we were very very very pleased with this restaurant and went there 5 times for diner! Of course we rented a motorbike outside the resort. Dewa asks 300 baht per day, on the street only 150 baht..!
