Amazing beach view and free pool use

We had an amazing 7 night stay. The staff were very helpful, arranging our scuba diving and snorkeling trips and taking our breakfast order every morning. We had free use of the infinity pool at Miami hotel and it was awesome!! The food there was quite good as well.
The beach view from the hotel was amazing. Just so beautiful.

When I first arrived and was shown to my room I was a little disappointed because I received the very last bungalow away from the beach (close to the road), but I eventually got over this.
First the negatives: the room is smaller than suggested and the bathroom shown in the picture is only for Deluxe Sea View room. The normal bathroom has the shower head directly next to the toilet and the entire bathroom gets washed by the end of the shower. Also, somewhat disappointing is the layout of place, it is like 2 'L' facing each other, which means unless you have the Deluxe Sea View, your view is really of the facing bungalow (but again, not a huge deal).
The positives: this place is great if you (and someone special) is looking for a very peaceful and relaxing few days right on the beach - you are directly on the beach and while it is not technically "private" it feels like it. You can rent mopeds directly from the hotel which is nice and definitely a good idea since the hotel is about 3/4 of the way down the island and it is more secluded than near Lanta boat port.
The hotel has a partnership with a resort called Miami hotel (which is about 200 meters walk down the beach, to left when facing the water) where guests can use the Miama pool (a very nice infinity pool on the beach). Anytime you ask Baan Pakgasri where to eat the will always say the Miama hotel (no surprise, partnership) but I would not recommend the food there since there is an awesome place called Kai Gai (or Gai Kai) about 100 meters down the road (same direction as Miama hotel) which serves authentic thai food. However, the beach bar at Miama hotel is fun and well priced.
Overall, if Baan Pakgasri was running a special I might stay there again, but if you can afford the Miama hotel it is much better for the same area of Lanta.

This hotel was wonderful, it was literally on the beach and for the price, was very comfortable. The use of the pool at Miami was a sweetner we hadn't expected. The only downside was a mistake by the staff with our return shuttle to Krabi which almost saw us miss our plane. Now usually the staff during the day were great, however this morning the woman was very unhelpful, to the point of being rude. In saying that however it would not prevent me from recommending this hotel to anyone- just double check any travel booking!

Very pleased with this accomadtion. It is probably the most attractive smaller accomodation on the beach and the staff were regularly turning away people who enquiered about availability of rooms. The rooms was very well presented and kept nice & clean by the staff.
Breakfast was served on our balcony at a time to suite us and we had a choice of three options to choose from. The only criticism was the coffee which was so strong it put hairs on our chests.
The only downside to this resort was that there was no shade at all on the beach, but umbrellas were available at andjoining bar
Restaurant Tip:
Plenty of restaurants nearby on Klong Nin which could be accessed along the beach rather than walking on along the road

Personale var ikke glade for gæsterne; vi var kun til besvær hvis vi skulle spørge om noget eller bestille morgenmad. Vi var 3 personer på værelset og derfor har betalt for en ekstra seng inkl. morgenmad. Da hotellet ikke har nogen restaurant, levere de morgenmad på terrassen, skønt, men de har kun 2 stole der. Flere stole kunne ikke skaffes. Så er der ikke muligt at spise elle hygge på terrassen for mere end to personer.

Charming little resort

I spent 5 nights there with a family member and it was just everything that we needed. The bungalow is not that big but its clean, the bed in confortable and its quite at night. Its right on the beach and they serve your breakfast on your own terrasse which was just great ! Try the pancakes with banana & chocolat you'll love it. You also have access to the pool at Miami resort when you stay at Pakgasri which is also nice because they have a nice, clean pool overlooking the sea. I would go back anytime! I recommend it with no hesitation.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Rent a motorbike and explore the island towards the national park ... it's beautiful. Try Nui Bay beach.
