costa lanta is a very nice place to stay. the management as well as the staff are very friendly. the hotel is located right on the beach. very quiet, perfect for relaxing.
no tv, no noise, just relaxing.
the restaurant is really nice, the food is excellent. portions are just what you need. the taste is respecting the thai cuisine.
i do recommend this place.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Rent a scooter and go to the end of the island. Nice beach and nice restaurants too.

I really enjoyed this hotel. The only comment I designed would make is that the hotel, which is very nicely and looks great, feels a bit out of place on this beach which was mostly full of pretty cheesy hotels.

winderful stay at costa lanta. by far the nicest resort on the beach. peaceful, beautiful setting. amazing designed concrete cabanas and the warmest, friendliest welcome from the owners. nothing is too much trouble, ad being on my own for efirst few days i was made so welcome by the owners that i didn't feel alone. lovely staff and real peace and tranquility in the resort. plenty of space for everyone to relax and eat and drink to your hearts content. i would highly recommend costa lanta hotel and i will be back!

Great hotel in oneness with nature

this hotel has a fantastic environment with a breathtaking beach area and an altogether wonderful milieu in oneness with nature. this is an ideal place to be on hot sunny days with a cold drink and the sea or the beautiful swimming pool close at hand to relieve the heat at any time one feels the need.
the staff are very nice indeed and an added plus here is that the proprietors speak excellent english, so communication, which usually is a very serious limiting factor in the hotels in which i have stayed in thailand, is a breeze here.
the room architecture is simple in design and blends beautifully with the natural environment. although this has a natural appeal, i found the interior arrangement rather less practical than i would have wished. the garden view cabana room we occupied appeared very small and dark and the greater part of the floor space was taken by a very wide double bed. i believe that reducing the width of the bed by a third would “open” up the room, making space for facilities for sitting in the room. also, i think the room would benefit from a lifting of the only shelf in the room to enable the use of the shelf as a kind of working table with a chair under it. as it is now, there is really no facility for seating and/or working in the room, unless you can sit cross-legged on the floor underneath the shelf. one item that could improve the experience of users of the hotel is a water heater with facilities for making coffee or tea. finally, i would have liked some bedside lamps and switches to turn the lights off before sleep, without having to crawl out of the mosquito-net-covered bed.

had a great stay at this hotel for 3 nights and it's practically one of the most beautiful hotel that we've ever stayed in before. it has its own unique character of architecture and what's best is the room has a folding door that enables you to open up and enjoy the breeze of the garden with view! the rooms are tastefully decorated with the most basic necessities and they are a few reading material which is good enough to recommend ko lanta. the management consist of very friendly staff and also includes a very friendly dog name bruno who so often greets guest by wanting some pats and food. overall it's a very beautiful place for a good rest after exploring the island as it's peaceful and close to the beach as well. great stay!

We liked our stay at the Costa Lanta a lot! The beach there is the best part of the Klong Dao Beach. Just a few people come up there. The hotel provides a lot of privacy. They look sharp that no one enters the hotel area who does not belong to the hotel. The rooms are a bit small and the breakfast is surely not the best we ever had, but you get enough for a good start in your day. We can highly recommend this hotel and would come back.

this hotel is fantastic in my opinion. the location is great close to the town. the rooms are great, as advertise on agoda and their web site. i am really in love with the hotel surroundings, you'll just have to go there to just see it. food is great so is the service.
met the owners and there are just great people, very friendly and so helpful for my needs and info about koh lanta.
the only downside of this resort is only 1 thing, that is mosquito... but not to worry the hotel staff is always on it, especially preparing your room before sleep.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you wanna go around the Island I would recommend renting a car if you plan to go all the way to the south, but for general use to town then a bike would do just good.
