Quiet location with excellent views over the bay

We chose this hotel because of the lovely gardens which provide plenty shade unlike the pool area which has none at all and were very disappointed that there were no sunbeds in the garden and were not allowed to remove any from around the pool.It was suggested that we buy our own sunbeds which some long term guests had done.This we considered to be ridiculous given that this hotel is supposed to be 3 star not some two bit guest house and the attitude of management left a lot to be desired.
We were quite happy to accept that the hotel is in need of refurbishment and that there are safety issues with the swimming pool as it is difficult to see the submerged steps given the colour of the tiling. Unfortunately our stay was soured by the sunbed issue and as a result it is unlikely that we will go there again

Great service, Great beach for kids

We enjoyed our 5 day stay. The breakfast was good and changed each day. Staff was really great. Only the family rooms have hair dryers and water heaters for tea/coffee. However, the front desk gal brought us one of her own hair dryers - so considerate. Loved renting a motor scooter and exploring the island. The snorkel/dive boats come pick you up right from the beach in the mornings, so convenient. Our room was clean and air conditioned. The waterfall wasn't working and the pool wasn't very big, but most adequate. Must rent chairs if you want to be in the shade but they are cheap.
One problem not related to the resort is that you have to take 2 ferries to the island. If you have to wait, it could take as long as 5 hours to/from the airport, so just be prepared with snacks, drinks and a good book! The prices at the restaurant are some of the cheapest on the island and food is very good. Also can walk or take a tuk tuk to tons of other restaurants. Safe family island.
Restaurant Tip:
Lots of great places right on the beach, get a map to find where they are, really liked the Oasis Restaurant, the place to the right of the hotel on the beach has great food and mango shakes!
