budget place with all you need
decent price and location

This place is a good base camp for activities on the island at budget price. The room has all you need. Pretty clean, with just a touch of mildew in the bathroom, which seems to be common in places in this price range in Thailand. The closest beach access is a little dark at night. Many good restaurants nearby.
Travel tip:
Go to the German Bakery just a bit north on the main road. Great breakfasts and snacks to go. Also Mon restaurant next door is cheap, good, and big portions.

The bungalows aren't on the beach, but are only a 5 minute walk. This place cost less than most other places we could find. We stayed for 3 days and never got room service do our trash was overflowing - maybe just need to request your room to be clean. Our sink also ran onto the floor. Generally, the place wasn't anything amazing, but good enough.
Restaurant Tip:
Get a motorbike and explore to the further south beaches, especially Bamboo Bay. Also go to the Drunken Sailor restaurant and get an amazing Thai breakfast pan.

when we arrived, the hotel hadn't received our booking via agoda, therefore no room was available for us.
still, they were very helpful and friendly, drove us to the hotel of the manager's brother, which was supposedly nicer and more expensive (it really was), and they didn't charge anything additionally.
from outside it looked very simple. it was located very close to the beach, but a little far from town by feet (25 min or so). 7/11 very close
