Just arrived home after 13 nights on Chada Beach Resort.
Overall the stay was a great experience but some things could have been better at a resort of this caliber.
We were at Chada during off season and maybe thats the reason for some issues.
BUT ants and geckos had there own key to our room, and thats not acceptable.
The Resort is right at the beach and the pool area is great.
But without a motorcycle you will spend allot on tuktuks and taxis..
The Main road and Saladan is FAR away as you have to drive around the northern tip to get there.
Would i go there again?
Koh Lanta - YES!!
Chada Beach Resort - Probably not!
Restaurant Tip : Saladan Seafood is WAY better than Lanta Seafood next door..
All tourists ended up in Lanta SF, we got the better food a Saladan SF

Large and spacey rooms, great pool, 2 extremely large pools, high maintenance resort. you have to take tuk tuk every time you wanna go to main road and the price is 80-100 b every ride (for 2 ppl). there is nothing to do around the hotel. Koh lanta is for isolation and silence... the hotel is amazing, equiped, staff is very nice and polite. DVD player and cds on request, pools are the best we've seen in thailand.
Restaurant Tip : go to the main road - at the end of the road there are many restaurants that form like a pier. have dinner there in sunset - very romantic

Wonderful stay at a quality resort. Friendly staff, great pools, rooms were very clean & fresh. Children areas were not to quality as expected. The beach was cluttered & not cleaned during our off-season stay. We were there as a family with two adjoining rooms & were very pleased with the stay. The beach area was very nice with a great view but was not cleaned up as it was during the off season. The resort was not well attended in our October visit & at one point we have the place to ourselves. There were some other places to eat on down the beach that were pretty good. Also just down the beach is The Heart & Art of Massage. Wonderful massages there. All in all was a wonderful stay.

Good pool.
Good Breakfast.
Not far from the city center 5 min. drive (If you can call it a city especially in the low season.)
restauran is expensive but i guess it is ok for a 4.5 star hotel. No free internet. No DVD in the room. We came to this hotel because it is a 4.5 star hotel and thought we would get all the luxury things we had in another 4+ star hotel but that wss not so. No free internet. No DVD in the room.

Swimingpool at room site. Moscitos in room. Personell without education for running 5 stars hotel. Personal in restaurant without a clue of running a restaurant. By arrival the welcome was lousy, and the reseptionist ws rather lazy. The room was excelent, however never clean from flies and moscitos. When saying not clean, the room was "full" of flies. The restaurant personell could bearly speak english, and the food was rather bad. The only reason why we stayed as much as a week at the hotel was the excelent situation of the pool, just out of our doorstep at the balcony.

Lovely large rooms. Great air con system The water pressure was weak and ran onto the floor. Also our window in the bathroom didn't close right and mozzies and lizards got it. I was there is low season so there hotel was very quiet. I was the only person at the pool. The staff are very friendly and helpful. One day they brought over glasses of water for me and my partner and then brought over some friut, not ordinary fruit but good quality fruit carfully cut, fresh and presented on sticks on a plate of ice.
I'm confused what rating this hotel would be...too good for a 4* but not exactly 5*.
Nightlife Tip : Make sure to check out Barracuda Bar. Great bar, even in low season there were always people there and it had fantastic atmosphere. Owned by a British couple who were great fun and really friendly. Food was delicious there too.

Their staffs have no service-mind We have chosen this hotel because of 5-stars from agoda and its beautiful pictures. I hope for great service. But when we arrived there, no one took care of us! We had to service ourselves. The pool was dirty because of the dust from reconstruction. I have no idea how come it labeled 5-stars hotel in Lanta.
Hotel Feature Tip : if you want 5-stars service, do not come here!!!

It's very peaceful and luxury with large beautiful swimming pool. staffs are kindness but always take advantage from customer, such as transportation charge they didn't give more information to customer and offer for more expensive services.
Shopping Tip : If you want to save cost, you should be hire a motorcycle near the hotel for travel around Lanta Island instead of use hotel service.

Swimming pools, the room - great space, amazing balcony with seaviews Very expensive food and drink, no atmosphere (we were there at the end of April) We were after a bit of luxury after being on a budget for a while and found a great deal for an Emerald Suite at Cha-da. The room itself was great - huge, beautiful pool/seaview, and the bathroom was immaculate. It was the end of the high season so the place was deserted - with no atmosphere, perfect if you want peace and quiet. Although the swimming pool & beach rules are a tad strict. Best to hire a scooter and get around to the village and the lower part of the island on that. The beach here is not very nice - head to the Southern beaches.
Restaurant Tip : Head elsewhere to eat - the food is average and very over priced.

Pools might be the selling point here with the nice set up but drinks quality at pool bar is a bit poor compared to the price and others hotels. Hotel room is good but you can get a heaps nicer somewhere else on the island at the same rate.

Superb Pool Access rooms.
Beautiful beach
Well informed/ helpful staff Breakfast - very busy/ not enough space at buffet/ should have more than 1 toast machine This is our second visit to the ChaDa beach Resort and it has once again surpassed our expectations. The rooms are just fabulous, big and well appointed and it is great to have a pool access room. We made use of this on a daily basis. It is also in an excellent location with many restauranrs/ pubs within easy walking distace. Also a small shopping mall just a few minutes away. If you want something livlier - Saladan is a 5-7 minute taxi drive away. Loved the hotel!!!
Restaurant Tip : Take a taxi to the top of the beach and eat at the Slow Down Restaurant....very vibey and good prices.

Good location - quiet beach
Fantastic rooms
Beautiful Pool Breakfast service ends too soon - should go on to 1030 Cha-Da Beach resort Hotel is a well run pleasing place to spend 1 week. The rooms are large with all amenities that you need and more than any other hotel I have stayed in. The bonus is when you book a pool-access room....very special as you can enjoy a swim anytime with very little hassle.
Staff are very accommodating and always there to help or advise. Excellent hotel-run taxi service which we used several tiomes to various locations.

Room, location, friendly and service minded staff, breakfast. All additional service in the hotel including the restaurant, massage, laundry is completely overpriced. This is a nice place located close to the beach, friendly staff, good breakfast and great room. We stayed 6 nights in a silver room facing the pool- excellent no mosquitoes. The hotel is crowded with families. But even a couple can enjoy the stay. We rented a Vespa and headed south to more beautiful and charming beaches. From the hotel it takes about 10 min to the city of Saladan where there are good fish restaurants. It takes about 1 hour to reach the charming beaches in the south.
