Cheap and cheerful but many sleepless nights
Right on the beach, many bars and restaurants nearby, but a little too nearby

Wooden fan bungalows are very basic and in need of some care, but no real complaints. The issue is the Pirate bar (and many other bars along the beach) who insist on having regular parties way into the night and early morning. The bar sits in the middle of the hotel complex on the beach, very close to the bungalows, approx 20m from ours but much closer to others. On a Sunday night, their regular party night, you will be kept awake until 4 or 5 in the morning, listening to the awful dance music they play at full volume - earplugs will not help, our hut was shaking. Other bars nearby do the same. It is strange given that this area attracts mainly families. This really spoiled an otherwise lovely stay.
Restaurant Tip:
Thai Cat, a five minute walk North up the beach, is a fantastic restaurant. Great food, excellent service and good value. Breakfast, lunch or dinner - it was all good.
Mr Wee's, 2 minutes North of the hotel, again on the beach, serves the best pizzas we'd eaten in a long time. We went three times - but again, the bar next door to the place would turn up their volume in the evening and we'd be treated to pounding, brainless dance music. They really need to sort it out!

Nice place at the Beach, BUT...

...because, the place itself at the Beach is amazing but,......when we arrived the first room, smells so bad, that we ask for changed, the second room , the AC was not working, next Day we changed again, that was OK but I am sure you get better Deals !!!
But still, when we come back to the room, we had to open the windows for 20 minutes, because it also smells. Breakfast is included, but you have no choice, after a week,...I can not see any toast and strawberry Jam anymore ! When you order something, there was not one day, where they place the right order, always forget something, because , their english is very poor !
The Food is overpriced and not so good !!! But almost everywhere !!! No much big difference, like to Germany !!!
Making a cheaper Holiday in Ko Lanta, this times are over,.... i.e. Croatia or Turkey has nice beaches too , better Food and less expensive !!!
But, Yes,....during the Day it's quiet,... in the night you also could hear the Music from the Bar !
ANd at least,...Money,Money,Money,....the owner want for everything money and they tried to get more than you actually have to pay !!!
