One of the best stays I had in Thailand.
The owners, location, price, breakfast.

This hotel was awesome. The owners were VERY helpful--called and helped us arrange our ferry and also our transportation to and from. Made sure we were not overcharged for either. They both made us feel at home. The breakfast was delicious! We only stayed here 1 night but wished we had spent all 3 at the Mermaid.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Don't miss the breakfast. It was delicious!

Friendly service and the cleanest rooms

really enjoyed our stay. staff were very helpful and friendly. rooms were amazingly clean as was the whole hotel. if it had a swimming pool it would be perfect!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We had the beach to ourselves most days. Hadn't realised how closed down for the season the area would be. Still lots of local food stall places to eat at but almost nothing on the beach front.

Best hotel of our trip
Fantastic woman who runs the show and keeps things in line.

Incredibly well-maintained, clean, comfortable hotel. Somkrit, who runs the hotel, not only served us a wonderful full breakfast each morning, she also rented us mopeds, purchased us ferry tickets, gave excellent advice for restaurants, and was generally amazing. The hotel smells like a spa with essential oils in the lobby, the staff cleans your room while you are at breakfast, and the whole place is immaculately cared for. An absolute gem. The beach is across a somewhat busy road, but it's worth the quick walk!

Best hotel, amazing service, lovely rooms
Fantastic service, really friendly and helpful

Lanta Mermaid was by far our favourite hotels out of all the 13 hotels that we stayed at in different parts of thailand.
The attention to detail is amazing in this friendly boutique hotel, and especially at reception is more than helpful and organised a few special requests for us.
The room was exceptionally clean and well equipped, the bathroom was spotless and we even had a small balcony. It felt quite luxurious.
All in all, brilliant value for money.
In terms of location, it's only a 5 minute stroll to a long and stunning and very quiet beach.
Highly recommended for people who are after a relaxing holiday

Lovely hotel with really friendly staff
Beautifully decorated rooms in a convenient location

As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were made very welcome by the staff who were friendly and helpful. The hotel was situated in a very convenient location, less than 5 minutes walk from the beach and close to restaurants and bars. I was especially impressed with my room, it had a boutique feel about it with wooden floorboards and furniture. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody else going to Koh Lanta and will definitely be going back there!

Amazing service
Clean, new, wonderful staff
9.3
Lanta Mermaid was recommended to me by a friend, and I can see why. It was one of the nicest places we stayed at during our vacation in Thailand. We came during the low season so we literally were the only people in the hotel, but it was a really relaxing time. The staff, especially the managing director, were so hospitable, gracious, and took care of our every need—even calling the ferry/van company for us to rearrange our van time to Krabi. Everything was immaculate, and although there was not much to do in Ko Lanta in July, we would come back just to stay at this hotel. In the high season it would be a great place to stay, as it's near the pier and best beaches. Highly recommended!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to Ko Lanta during the high season; it's dirty and deserted during the low season.

beautiful hotel with lovely owners and staff. from the minute we arrived the owners welcomed us and our luggage was taken to our room. the rooms were stunning, with views of the garden. the breakfast was great, fruit, toast, eggs, bacon, anything that you wanted. all made with high quality ingredients and a strong attention to detail. i was unwell whilst staying here and the owner brought me some toast to my room and kept asking how i was. the hotel had everything that we could have wished for and was much more friendly than some of the larger 'resorts' on the island.

Clean and friendly
The owners are cleanliness mad. Free wi-fi is a bonus. Good location for beach access. Extremely friendly.

On the whole, this hotel is great value. The staff were extremely friendly and helped with any queries we had. The rooms are a good size and were as clean as they possibly could be. The beach is just two minutes away. There is also a 7-11 just two minutes walk from the hotel and some great restaurants too. The inclusion of wi-fi makes this a hit for me at no extra cost.
Restaurant Tip:
Isaan restaurant, 200 metres along main road. Cheap but delicious food.
