Comfortable, relaxed
Location, friendly staff, value for money

Very comfortable, very relaxed. Not many people there. A few problems with wifi, had to keep resetting the modem. Brief power cut during rainstorm, which was an experience. Very friendly manager always eager to help.

Island is amazing. Hotel was basic but acceptable.
Location, room view and local restaurants

Super luxurious rooms were basic, dated but overall ok. Other accommodation was pretty horrible eg-superior rooms. Beech location is key as the restaurants around here are good and the beech is lovely and quiet.

Quiet and relaxing
Close to the beach, far away from the noisy bars
7.3
The bungalow was convenient and quiet. However, there are not many restaurants nearby, and the resort is far away from all the attractions of Long Beach. If you don't have a motorbike and don't want to pay 100 baht for taxi, it's better to rent a room more to the south, where all the restaurants are located, and close to the Animal Welfare. Most guests are families with children and old people, mainly from Northern Europe.

Very comfortable and great location

our stay was off season when much on koh lanta was closed. we only saw one other couple at the resort so i'm sure our visit would be very different if we came at peak time. the resort was maintained by skeleton staff and pretty well all the services were closed. the staff were however cheerful and helpful.
we enjoyed the peace and usually had the beach to ourselves. being the off season meant that the waves were up [quite big] but making a shore dump and that there was a lot of rubbish that had been washed up on the beach.
we loved our luxurious bungalow, very clean and comfortable. by the second day though there was a real stink coming up the drain. this seems to be a problem mentioned in the reviews of other hotels as well and i suspect it has something to do with the manner of waste disposal / lack of proper sewage.
off season koh lanta was a wonderful peaceful break from the bustle of bangkok but if you want to party you would need to come at a different time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The 4 island tour with snorkeling was great.
Consider hiring a scooter for the day BHT as opposed to half day tuk tuk hire BHT 800. The tuk tuk drivers seem to have their own scam happening and I'm not sure if it is possible to get a good price - including from the ferry - as organised by our travel company!!!

Never ´stay at this hotel!
3
unfriendly staff, dirty, discussting rooms.. we have nothing good to say about this hotel. the only good thing about it was the fantastic beach. do not choose this hotel if you don't have to, anything else is better.
Restaurant Tip:
There's a restaurant further down the beach called KlappaKlum that had excellent food!

simple rooms, simple food, simple relaxing & simple activities... equal great holidays.
it's hard sometimes watching the sunset over the indian ocean everyday whilst drinking a singha beer and wondering which restaurant or bar i'm going to venture to tonight. after that night out the next day being able to go for a snorkel, a swim or just relax on the beach... we figured out a word for it whilst lying on the beach.... paradise.

Nice spacious rooms, but smelly bathroom
Right off the beach, quiet
5.7
This place is not professionally run and you'll notice as much when you arrive at reception to a room full of babies. That didn't bother me so much--after all, it's Thailand. The women who run it are very nice, but communication is difficult as their English lacking. But once again, it's Thailand...
The grounds were fine, the room itself was spacious but slightly rough around the edges. Air-con worked well as did the wi-fi. I'd say this was a good place had the bathroom not started to smell after the first day. I don't know where it was coming from but it smelled like someone had smeared dead fish all over the walls. I had to hold my breath when going to the bathroom. I was hoping the maid could do something about it but they never came! I would have asked for another room if I wasn't going to be leaving the next day, so I sucked it up. While in the office I overheard other guests who had other problems: one could close their window and another didn't have electricity. I suspect management takes band-aid approaches to fixes
Not a terrible place, but you're taking your chances.

Attention they cheat when they sell tickets for bus!
