This beach front villa hotel is on the western part of the island set in a garden and coconut grove. The remote location is quiet and the very large villas are clean, comfortable and soothingly relaxing. The resort has two beautiful pools and makes a delightful spot to relax or a good base to explore the islands, scuba dive, snorkel, and take nature hikes. The hotel is near restaurants and some shopping as well. The restaurant serves Thai and international food and there is a beach and pool bar to keep you refreshed under the sun. A highlight of your stay at the Lanta Sand Resort will be the spa with a number of treatments to pamper you.

The best feature of this hotel was its location. Right on long beach and next to some of the great bars I remember from my last trip!
We were a little disappointed with the aircon in our room, making everything feel very damp, especially the bed.
Lanta Sand Resort & Spa's highlight was its location and amazingly friendly staff. The rooms were clean and very spacious. The restaurant was very nice although a little expensive especially when you compare it to the many bars and restaurants all along the beach, the breakfast however was wonderful. Plenty of choices and very fresh!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : lanta divers PADI centre is located right next door on the beach. we had some wonderful dives with them and were very professional. Also, funky fish restaurant next door does some amazing spicy beef salad!

Beautiful rooms, beautiful location
Restaurant, food, hot water
The hotel overall was beautiful in a great location (Long Beach) and the rooms (Beach bungalow) were amazing with a tub outside in the back and very romantic. The only cons were that the hot water did not work consistently and the food and service in the restaurant was not good. There are other better places to eat on the beach but the best and most reasonable places are in the town near the port and the restaurant called the Viewpoint. Overall we had a good experience.
