Budget by the Beach

great location only a five minute walk to a quiet end of Long Beach, shared with a couple of other, more expensive, resorts, the staff were very friendly and helpful. the rooms were very spacious, with porches and armchairs for afternoon lazing about. we agreed with an earlier comment that the place felt a little unfinished - the walls between two units are rather thin - can hear doors, but not voices. The place would have been perfect with a TV, and a signal booster for the Wifi which didn't reach our cabin. absolutely loved it though, and we'll be back.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Head south down the main road for 500m to get to the Lanta Animal Welfare shelter, and walk some of the sweetest rescue dogs down the beach - it feels great and the dogs love it.

Great, for what was there!

It is tough to review this resort really because it was in mid construction when we visited. Do not let this put you off though, if you can live without a bar at the resort, then the rooms and everything else is fantastic.
By now they will have most likely completed the rest of the amenities by now and I highly recommend it!

When we stayed the hotel seemed slightly 'unfinished' with not many people staying there and we didn't see many members of staff during our stay, however it is in a good location and had everything we needed (apart from a safe). It is quite a quiet area, the walls between the cabins didn't seem very soundproof but that wasn't that much of a problem for us. The beach nearby was lovely with a nice quiet beach bar. Further down the road there are some nice bars and restuarants. Enjoyed our stay here but would not have wanted to visit this hotel as a solo traveller as it is down an unlit quiet road and we didn't meet many other hotel guests to talk to.
Nightlife Tip:
The bars were very quiet when we stayed here but there are posters advertising parties around the area, there seems to be something more lively going on each night you just need to keep an eye out for adverts and ask bar staff.
