Nakara Longbeach Resort, Koh Lanta (Krabi)

We have just stayed at Lanta Long Beach Resort for 4 nights and found it disappointing. The location on the beach and the swimming pools are excellent, but in other ways this bungalow resort is poor. Cleanliness is a serious issue. There is a strong smell of sewage close to the restaurant and stray dogs roam the site by day and night. Rats are abundant and run across the bungalow roofs. Flies congregate over the uncovered breakfast food which is on display from 6-30 although most guests do not eat until after 8. We found several blood stains on the walls of our bungalow. Perhaps most disappointing was the rudeness of some of the senior staff, most notably the restaurant manager who comes across as a most disagreeable individual. We certainly would not recommend this resort. There are plenty of better and cheaper alternatives on Lanta.

We booked through internet and we were very disappointed when we came to this resort. The pickup from the harbour on a crowded pickup reminds me of an animal transport. Most disappointing was the simple bathroom in our bungalow. Everywhere in the resort is rubbish lying around and the houses where built very quick and in poor quality. The floor beside the pool is made of rough wooden board and very hot to walk on and some nails sticking out. However the beach is nice and you can play with the wild dogs at the beach. At the beach there are some restaurants where you can eat.
