Nice beach, big pool and the brochure of this resort is very good. The bathroom in the bungalow is way too simple, loads of rubbish everywhere. We booked through internet and we were very disappointed when we came to this resort. The pickup from the harbour on a crowded pickup reminds me of an animal transport. Most disappointing was the simple bathroom in our bungalow. Everywhere in the resort is rubbish lying around and the houses where built very quick and in poor quality. The floor beside the pool is made of rough wooden board and very hot to walk on and some nails sticking out.
However the beach is nice and you can play with the wild dogs at the beach.
At the beach there are some restaurants where you can eat.
Travel tip : In the late afternoon is happy hour, buy 2 get 3.
In case you bring a laptop internet access is free.

Location and swimming pool Rude staff, smell of sewage, stray dogs, rats, flies. We have just stayed at Lanta Long Beach Resort for 4 nights and found it disappointing. The location on the beach and the swimming pools are excellent, but in other ways this bungalow resort is poor. Cleanliness is a serious issue. There is a strong smell of sewage close to the restaurant and stray dogs roam the site by day and night. Rats are abundant and run across the bungalow roofs. Flies congregate over the uncovered breakfast food which is on display from 6-30 although most guests do not eat until after 8. We found several blood stains on the walls of our bungalow. Perhaps most disappointing was the rudeness of some of the senior staff, most notably the restaurant manager who comes across as a most disagreeable individual. We certainly would not recommend this resort. There are plenty of better and cheaper alternatives on Lanta.
Restaurant Tip : There are several restaurants less than 100 yards away on the beach which charge much less.

a great beachside resort with terrific pools and bungalows more cushions on the lounge chairs at the pool needed. Restaurant Tip : the food is good and reasonably priced at the hotel but it is almost everywhere, so for a change just walk the beach and stop at some of the other restaurants.

Room, Garden, Beach, Facility at Nakara Resort. We had three weeks in Lanta Long Beach posted. The Deluxe Bungalow has a very nice sea view. The Lanta Long Beach Resort is part of the newer Nakara Resort. The restaurant is in Nakara for both hotels, etc. because of breakfast. The pool in Long Beach is small but quiet. The restaurant is the famous Thai friendliness not found. Nearby are located directly on Starnd some good to very good cheap Thai restaurants. At Lanta easy to rent a moped, worth it. Dive and Relax in Castaway with Bianca is the best dive center on the beach.

Nice location on the beach. The bungalows are simple but ok. The restaurant serves good food and the massage place is nice. Matresses on the sun beds would be more comfortable and there is also a lack of umbrellas. Nakara resort right next door is full of families with small children. Lanta Long Beach Resort is a nice and quiet place with simple but functional bungalows right next to the beach. The Nakara Resort is right next door and the two resorts share the restaurant and pool. There are many families with small kids staying at Nakara, Lanta Long Beach seems more quiet. The staff is nice but the service sometimes lacks in standard. The beach is very nice though and fairly quiet.

Lanta Long Beach Resort in Koh Lanta have a perfect location on the beach. The breakfast could have been better. With nice bungalows on the beach Lanta Long Beach Resort in Koh Lanta give you peace of mind in a short time. The bungalow-hotel is very clean and the staff is nice. It also have a pleasant restaurant by the beach with good food for excellent price.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a one day boat trip to the surrounding islands. Very nice with stop for snorkeling and lunch.

Family friendly and safe. Beautiful beach. Great staff. As a woman traveling alone, I found this a welcoming and safe place to stay. With good service and helpful staff. I would like to open the windows and not used the AC, but there were no screens and windows were taped closed. As a woman traveling alone, I found this a very welcoming and comfortable hotel. It is family oriented, but not unwelcoming for single travelers and it felt safe. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The beach is beautiful. The pool was nice and large enough to swim laps. The restaurant was good, particularly the fresh fish at night. Good value for the money.
Restaurant Tip : Time for Lime has great food and a fun atmosphere. Also, their long boat snorkeling trip with a gourmet lunch was fun for a group.

There were not a lot of tourists there so we had the beach nearly to ourselves. The bungalows were big. We stayed in a standard bungalow and it was perfect. Big room and a big shower room. It was a nice veranda outside where we could sit and see the sun go down. That was lovely.

They could have an extended phone book number if you require a dentist etc. Nice, clean bungalows. Location is great by the beach, on the best beach of Koh Lanta! Not to far from town. Quiet hotel. Staff is friendly and some speaks good English. Hotel breakfast was satisfying with good choices. Over all a good ordinary hotel. The hotel have a shuttle going into town for free at a specified time every day. The hotel also rents out motorbike to a reasonable cost.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Dreamy Spa is definitely worth a couple of visits, by the main road approx. 5 min walk from the hotel towards town (Saladan.) We had spa treatments almost every day! We also recommend to rent a motorbike and explore the island for a day!

great pool, close to the beach, walking distance to restaurants, nice room with deck, affordable, private. average breakfast, hard bed. This is a great hotel, right on the beach but also with a lovely pool. Lanta is a quiet island and this resort was perfect for a relaxing stay. We will be back!

Right on the Beach, great pool The hotel is right on the Beach and has a large pool. Beacause the Beaches are so long they never get crowded. The buffet breakfast was very substantial and the hotel staff very friendly. We stayed in a standard cabin back from the beach. The only complaint was our cabin bathroom didn't seem finished. There were paint fumes coming off the walls, the toilet took alot of effort to flush and the shower was one of those little wall mounted electric ones that didn't work very well. But it was reasonable for the price we paid which was shoulder season prices.

perfect location, friendly staff, bungalows are spacious, modern and clean, good restaurant to the village is about 10 minutes by taxi excellent hotel with friendly owner and good restaurant. Bungalows and rooms are sometimes switched the possibility of a connecting door, ideal for us, 2 families with older children. Located right on the beach with a beautiful sunset. The ocean is a bit rough but can swim in the large pool. During our stay in August 2009 there were some maintenance and repairs made after a recent storm. Breakfast was fine. The seaward side of the hotel is beautiful but the side of the interior is less, or if you look positively authentic. It was very peaceful and calm. Definitely a hotel for us to return and recommend considering the price quality ratio.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : rent a car or scooter to ride around the island. traffic is quiet enough. Restaurant of the hotel is a good option, especially at sundown on the sea side. want to go somewhere ask yourself a taxi or walk to the main road and raise your hand.
