Clean and beautiful bungalows, nice surroundings. Good service. Possible to borrow lots of DVD-movies to watch in your room.
The Thai food part of the breakfast was not impressing. Could taste more. Otherwise the breakfast was fresh and plentiful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rent a moped/ motorbike at the place just 50 meters from the hotel. Good, new bikes for 220 THB/day.

- Nice bungalows
- Nice garden and pool
- Good restaurant
- proximate at the beach
Stayed four nights at the Royal Lanta. Nice Hotel with cosy bungalows and a very nice garden and pool landscape. You can enter the beach just by going down three steps from the pool lawn. Very nice. Stayed during pre-season '08/'09 and enjoyed our stay. Family friendly hotel, but that didn't bother us as kids were not annoying like elsewhere...
Nice place to stay and from which you can discover the island. The town is not that nice though, but it's ok to go out there once in a while. Would suggest to go to Saladan instead, nice fish restaurants.

Close to the beach, big space of living and big swimming pool. Surrounded by trees and beautiful garden. Friendly staff.
It was during the time they renovated the hotel, so it is not nice to be around when people were working on rooms. The electric got cut off twice as well.
I am satisfied with the service of AGODA. Quick and easy access. I will do the booking through your website again when I get chance to travel. Thank you.
Restaurant Tip : A good restaurant called MIKE. Good place to have dinner with a nice view near the resort, about 100 meters on the main road.

Great rooms, very quiet, 2 swimming pools, located on the beach, super nice staff, great relaxing atmosphere.
The hotel "sea cow coffee" is really bad... food was not very good, small dishes, but there are plenty of other and much better options.
We arrived to the hotel on Sep 2008, which is the low season. It was our nicest stay in Thailand. The whole hotel had only three rooms occupied so we felt we are the only guests there.
When we told we were on our honeymoon, we got upgraded to the mountain view suite, which was amazing!!! The hotel staff was very nice and helpful, the swimming pools are great when the ocean is too risky for a swim. The breakfast was also very good.
The only cons as I mentioned was the coffee house which we tried once, and that was one too much. Nevertheless we very much recommend this great resort!
Hotel Feature Tip : If you are a honeymoon couple, tell that when you check in, and ask nicely if they can give you an upgrade, who knows, it might work!
another restaurant tip, 5 mins from the hotel there is a great restaurant called Sawadee restaurant. It's not fancy, but the food there was delicious!!!

Location, staff, rooms, good management, perfectly maintained.
Best hotel in the area, bungalows are huge, clean, there are 2 pools the 1 on the back is great! And quiet, the distance to minitown is walkable.

Beach is packed full of cheap looking bars, all pretty much empty. No real "spiritual vibe" in that bay. For that kind of magic head down to the south west of the island... particulary to Pimalai if you can afford it or Baan Resort in the same bay but half the price (and a 10th of the luxury!)
Restaurant Tip : Saladan Pier - turn left, 2nd restaurant on the right (the first one with fish and a bar-b-q outside) packed, cheap, great staff and amazing food!
