The beach and swimming pool.

The hotel's restaurant was in a great setting but the food could be better.

The hotel is in a great location on the beach with a beautiful view at sunset and the beachside swimming pool is also fantastic. Service was generally good, but staff did not speak great english. The beach side bar and restaurant is in a great setting (at least in the dry season when we were there) but the food was only mediocre. Fortunately there is a taxi that sits at the gate and takes you on the short trip into town where there many great seafood restaurants on the piers. We did not use the spa but it looked beautiful and we heard only good things about it.

Restaurant Tip : Try the seafood restaurants on the piers at the local town, they look basic but the food is great.

- nice pool - gym

- rooms are too expensive (they are not that nice) - not good value for money spent - not that nice beach

Experience was not too good. We ended up spending over 200 EUR per night and would say it's definitely not worth it. Rooms and over all quality of the hotel does not meet with the price.

Excellent beach but it has nothing to do with the hotel.

Bad value for money. Poor maintenance of the hotel. Low quality breakfast. Unclean and small room. The list goes on...

We had the basic room category. However, I would rate the room at less than 2-star. It was so small that we needed to put one suitcase on the bed. The room had a very low standard and was poorly maintained. There was no room to even sit down. It had two cheap plastic chairs outside the room on a shared corridor and they were not even clean. The room was at the far corner of the hotel ground and it took forever to get to the breakfast restaurant and beach. Pool chairs were broken and the ground of the hotel was not maintained. We had a feeling that the hotel was closing its door for good and tried to make the last buck. We have been to a lot of beach hotels in Thailand. This has to be the worst that we had experienced. If we need to talk about the negative points of this hotel, we would need a 500 words essay. All in all, we were counting our time to leave the place. Coming from Layana on Long Beach to here, it was more than going from heaven to hell.

Restaurant Tip : Wind down with a bottle of wine at Mr. Frog in Saladan.

Quiet hotel, Nice long beach.

Distance to shopping...even 7/11.

Hotel was OK, was told they will close after high season for renovation. Getting there - Not hotels problem, but ferry sold out by double, with many people on the roof of the boat...an accident waiting to happen. There was better food down the beach about a 100M to the the left. Beach about 200M to the right turns into a trash dump. All in all waitressing is slow all over Krabi, so take some patience with you, it's a more layed back atmosphere. Took a couple days to start liking it, then really enjoyed it.

Travel tip : Getting to and from shopping area. We got a good motorbike Tuk Tuk guys phone number as soon as we got there, and just called him anytime we were heading into the town area. I do not recommend walking that route at night. Too easy to get hit by a vehicle.

The rooms and hotel setting are very good. Located on a really nice beach with plenty of restaurants and bars close by. DVD library, free internet. Staff friendly

Hotel was still in a state of repair. Infinity pool not working.

Upon arrival at ferry port, hotel car picked us up for free. Arriving at hotel was great and we felt lucky. Unfotunately there appeared to be alot of work still taking place around hotel with certain features not working (infinity pool, water pumps etc). Staff were helpful but most struggled with english. Breakfast was ver nice. Would say the whole hotel (cost of night, food/drink) is overpriced. BUT thsi really does have potential to be amazing.

Nightlife Tip : Pop along the beach to one of the bars/restaurants for fire dancers every night.

On the beach, several pools, very quite

none!

This beautiful hotel is located directly on the beach, and is very detail oriented. Upon arriving to our room, we were greeted with a short foot massage, which was great after the long journey. The room and bathroom was absolutely beautiful and very unique. The hotel has a very modern design, but still true to the traditional classic Thai design roots. In the evenings we had dinner at the beach front restaurant, and enjoyed musicians while we ate, can't wait to get back there again!

Hotel Feature Tip : Rent the motor bikes, simply the best way to get around Koh Lanta.

Beautiful gardens, friendly staff, clean rooms

Staff could benefit from improved language skills and cocktail making

Initially I thought the resort was a bit dated then came to love its well set out gardens and style. The swimming pools were excellent, with a second one near our room away from the public, whihc meant we could have a post dinner dip before bedtime. The food at the resort was well cooked although they didn't have a large selection we enjoyed what we ate and never suffered any side effects. Cocktails at the bar were very nice too. We enjoyed the complimentary bikes a great way to get around the resort as was the courtsey electric car that picked us up at the gate. All in all I would definatley recommend this resort it is quiet but with good access to the village and beach front.

Restaurant Tip : The Seafood resturants at the pier in Saladen 1.5 kms from the resort, were great as were the motorbike taxi's

Beachfront location; pool area; free bikes, internet, kayaks etc.

Deluxe room was badly designed/furnished; little cupboard space. But outside bath and massive rain shower/toilet room good.

Hotel set in lovely grounds on excellent beachfront location (great beach, sea, and sunsets). Deluxe rooms a little disappointing but we got used to them, after being told to upgrade to a villa would be extra. Staff very friendly but with varying degrees of competence - think they might struggle at peak seasons. But we booked for 6 days and stayed for 10!

Travel tip : Hire the free bikes to both get around the resort and visit nearly (two street) town. Day trip to Phi Phi was good; 4 island trip wasn't.

- nice & clean Villas

- Expensive services (bar, laundry, massages) - Very simplified/unimaginative decor and athmosphere in beach restaurant and pool area - Food

Very peaceful and clean Villas in a beautiful setting. Hotel services are overpriced but you can find beachfront restaurants and massage by walking distance. You can also borrow bicycles from hotel (free of charge). Anyway bestway to see something else is to rent a scooter from Saladan and ride allaround in koh Lanta.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rent a scooter from Saladan (~200baht/day)to see more in koh Lanta.

Excellent beach front location

Wonder what it would be like in high season, coping with full hotel.

We stayed 10 nights at the Twin Lotus in a deluxe room (which we felt was more "standard". Room layout very odd with little drawer and wardrobe space, but got used to it - and the washbowl in the middle of the doom. The private outside bath was good though, and the bed comfortable. The pool area was a big attraction but I think it would be a "crush" in high season, as regards getting loungers and service. The free bicycles (for the short ride into town) and internet were pluses. Easy to walk down beach to some very good bars and restaurants (though limited). Some staff useless; others excellent. We were supposed to only stay 6 nights but ended up staying 10 so we must have been happy! Thinking of going back in high season, but prices high for what you get.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The boat trip to Phi Phi is worth it. The "4 islands" trip isn't. Cycle into town and visit the seafood restaurants over the water; and the Happy Frog restaurant for good food and wine, then wobble back to the hotel.

The bathroom is awesome!! The staff was very friendly, hotel was clean with nice decor, the pool was wonderful and the breakfast was great

streams inside grounds were not pleasant to look at more like swamps, hotel transfer to town very expensive, spa expensive, not enough cushions on the beach chairs.

We stayed in a garden bungalow and it had an outdoor barrel tub. It was filled with warm water and flowers when we got there. The shower was amazing to. The bedroom was a little small. The hotel staff drives around the grounds in golf cart and are always willing to give you a ride to your room. The beach in front of the hotel is not that beautiful, no white sand or anything like that. Is not crowed though.

Travel tip : Rent motorbike and tour the island yourself. The sea gypsy village is just a poor community. The cave is definitely worth visiting. Also the orchid and butterfly farms are cool. The kayaking in the mangrove forest was great, you get to feed monkeys. Time for lime mojitos are delicious along with their food.

Great service and very nice rooms with very comfortable pool. Very good breakfast and two very nice pools

Restaurant a bit expensive compared to others in the area. Rooms are a bit of a walk from the pool/reception.

Wonderful hotel with very comfortable beds and great service - you don't want for anything. Breakfast was very large and very good. Great amenities including gym and spa. Beautiful pools and main restaurant building (even if a bit expensive compared to others nearby).

Very helpful, truthful staff, clean

hotel transfer to town way too expensive

We stayed here for 3 night and decided to extend our stay for another night. We asked the staff if they would book us for another night and they told us it would be better if we booked again through Agoda otherwise it would cost a lot more. The stay was extended with no problems. I was hoping they would fill up the outdoor bathroom again because this was a new booking but unfortunately they didnt. Nice place to stay not really 4 start though

Travel tip : Dont use the hotel transfer into town. It is only a 10 min walk or just start walking and grab a tuk tuk that drives by
