We were expecting a beautifully executed and appointed resort but were very disappointed with the relative cheapness of materials, construction and design of our suite. No DVD and TV player as advertised was another downside. We checked out early due to very poor value for money, and we moved to a place on the beachfront.

The Koh Mak Villa 2 floor bungalows will offer a you a beautiful view from your bedroom onto the sea as it sits on top of the island's hill. This however means as well that you will need at least 10 minutes to either beach. Sounds not much but consider that you have to walk uphill. As well are you a bit away from the other resorts or restaurants, so that you will have to walk again at night to go anwywhere (so bring a flashlight, there is not streetlight). We rented a small motorbike in the end.
Still it was a good bungalow, but conider as well one of the resorts right on the beach. Might be better value for the money.
