Out of the track but a nice pool and staff
The pool is big and has a lot of deck chairs so its no problem getting one. The staff is friendly and inform you about what there is to do on the island and around it.

When we first arrived to the island from the ferry we had to pay 50
Baht for the long tail boat that drove us to Charlie Beach. Since Koh Mool Resort is on the other side of the island we had to get another long tail boat to get there. And then again pay 50 baht. The tide was low so the long tail boat driver couldn't drop us off by the resort so we had to walk 15-20 mins from the pier where we got dropped off. A walk through the local village with no tourists or English speaking Thai. After all this we arrived to the hotel. The staff looked a bit surprised to see us but they where friendly. Our room was ok. Not more then avrange. No air condition just a fan but that was still ok for the price you pay. When we saw the pool we were happier since its one of the best once we've seen under our 3 weeks holiday. But all and all the hotel is ok from our side. We satayed for two nights and every evening we took a taxi (tuk-tuk) to get to Charlie Beach where it's a little more going on.
Hotel Feature Tip:
When you arrive on Koh Mook: jump off and get a taxi to drive you to Koh Mook Resort. 50 baht/person and you get dropped off just outside the hotel. A lot better than a long tail boat.

Lovely Trang island resort
8.7
After a disappointing experience at Koh Ngai we had a very pleasant stay at Koh Mook. This was the cheapest yet the best place we visited!
The staff is well trained and very friendly, a good service even at the pool and the espresso of the best quality! The beach could be better, but the pool makes up for that. The pool is well maintained and very clean. The rooms are okay and kept very clean. The menu is extensive and the food of good quality.

Bungalow was pleasantly sited,quiet, comfortable
Nice position air conditioned and looking out over sea.
5.3
Pleasant site. Restaurant was expensive and small helpings. The resort is quite isolated and away from other entertainment on the island and the roads were very muddy for motorbike trip.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Pleasant island Bring your walking shoes to get around muddy roads

Nice bungalows round an excellent swimmingpool
A marvellous staff, I was treated like a queen.
9.7
Tasty food and good massage.
Unfortunately there is no beach for swimming in front of the hotel, although the place is very near to the seaside.
Good place for canoing, cycling and walking. The hotel has three canoes and some bikes. Possible to walk to a very nice beach, and you can go by taxi (50 baht)to the other side of the island for swimming.
Exotic market nearby. The small village consists of hardworking, nice people and a lot of domestic animals.
Travel tip:
The hotel can arrange tours to nearby islands; Koh Kradan and Koh Ngai, or just snorkeling.

Good resort but not good beach
8.3
Good service and friendly staff are well take care as I travel alone. The overall quite good at the resort ie room clean, good bungalow ocean view & good staff but only thing cannot fix is the beach in front of the resort cannot swim & sun bath. Unfortunately, i stay during they have some renovation area very few number of guest. The Internet cannot access both wifi & also the computer service at the lobby, cable tv is only few channel available I do not know how the other guests can enjoy their stay while no good beach.
Hotel Feature Tip:
You can find the other resort with better beach condition if you want to enjoy sunbath & swim

Friendly comfortable stay
Great manager and staff - really looked after me!
9.7
at the tail end of the high season i found myself the only westerner in this hotel amongst very many thai tourist over the thai new year.
i never felt out of place though and really enjoyed my stay here.... the resort is on the village side of the island and a trip out to hat farang (on the western side of the island confirmed for me anyway, that i was in the right place for me. .... i was looking for some peace and quiet after 3 months in india!.
the food is great. my only suggestion for the hotel is that they could do with some hammocks and perhaps soft cushions for the sun loungers and hard furniture.
a very friendly place, great value and a place i would stay again if i find myself in koh mook.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
hotel organise an island tour, including emerald cave as well as a trip over to the beautiful reef at koh kradan. the resort have their own boats and the guides were excellent and great fun on the day.
lodung beach is well worth the 45 to 55 minute walk along the beach (although it becomes harder at high tide) i had the place to myself and it was just beautiful!

Terrible location, strange staff, untidy room
3
We decided to go to Koh Mook for 4 days and booked this resort.
It was a disaster from the beginning. We came there by speedboat and drove by a great beach and got excited. As we were droped of "near" to our resort at a terrible pear we started to wonder were we've landed. We had to walk through a tiny gipsy village and a small "beach"-strip full of broken glass and garbage and after that we had to walk a small part through water to get to the "beach" of this resort. The beach was acctually non-excisting because the tide was so bad, that you had to walk ca. 800 meters to get to the water and the 800 meters where pure rocks.
The two persons we delt with at the resort where very strange and not very helpful.
As we were broght to our bungalow we were pretty shocked. It was next to some kind of garbage place and the bungalow itself was simply terrible. Ants where everywhere. Wish i could upload some photos, so you would see what we mean. We where supposed to have AC but had hust a bad fan.
The resort was on the northeast end of the island and you couldn't go anywhere from there. Even with a tuktuk-taxi it was pretty hard to move around/away.
If you really wish to see Koh Mook (we also were't very impressed with the other parts of the island), I recommend that you stay at sivalai beach resort - great beach and super bungalows. We stayed only one (terrible) night at Koh Mook Resort and changed island the next day.
The only possitive thing to say about Koh Mook resort is that they had free internet access.
