Amazing beach and spa resort
The beach where the hotel is quiet and beautiful, the spa was the best I've visited, and the grounds were well kept up and very nice

We had a great stay at this resort, which was our only stop on the island of Koh Phangan. From our experience Phangan was a much better beach island than Koh Samui with clearer water, less people, and softer sand. This resort was away from the busy party side of the island and was located in a quiet little bay which was really really nice. The hotel is small and has a very personal feel with very attentive and friendly staff that make sure your stay is a good one. The resort itself has everything that you could want for a quiet, romantic beach vacation in a great setting. The food and drinks were very good, there were activities available each night (ex - champagne reception, pizza/movies on the beach, etc.), and the spa was undoubtedly the best I have ever visited. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel, away from it all. No shopping nearby
Helpful staff, own private pool,

Great hotel, with fantastic koi ponds in the grounds.
Staff are very attentive and changed our room, as we did have a problem with the first one, as it smelt very damp, although we did incur a fee for doing this.
Great selection for breakfast, everything you could want and more. The hotel is situated on the beach, alongside 3 other hotels, but there isn't anything else really in the area, other than a few over priced convinience stores.
Restaurant Tip:
Try the Pavirman hotel at the end of the bay, for a fantastic dinner, BBQ style and reasonably priced

We had a most relaxing 4day stay here. Good location (once you got there) and great room.
Restaurant Tip:
We found the wine was just too expensive.

A Picture Perfect Resort, Just like a Postcard!
Amazing rooms, facilities and service
8.7
Enjoyed our stay, the most amazing buffet breakfast we'd ever had! Beautifully decorated room and bathroom.
Unfortunately it was the rainy season, so the sea was too rough to do some activities and swim at the beach and was too overcast/cold to use the private pool in the villa (wasn't heated)
Restaurant Tip:
Jip Shop - had amazing presented food and amazing tasting. They also have card/board games on the table to make a fun atmosphere!

We had a pool villa and were really enjoying ourselves. The staff was helpful, we liked the fact, that they come twice a day - once for making up your villa and the the other time to prepare the bed for the night. It felt really like living in a jungle but with glamour.
Breakfast offered a wide variety of food.
We arrived at the pier. In order to get to the hotel, you need to go off road. So it was hard for us to find a taxi. And the prices went up accordingly.
Restaurant Tip:
If you go down the road, there is a thai restaurant. We called the woman Mama Thai. The food was delicious and cheap as well.

World class beach resort
Private location, perfect for a romantic getaway
9.3
It's our second visit to the Anantara Rasananda in 11 months and we still found ourselves extending our original six day stay.
The ocean facing villas come with your own private day bed right on the beach - you get what you pay for, and that space and view are worth every penny.
The hotel food is excellent, and very promptly served via room service. They also have one of the best breakfast spreads ever.
There isn't a whole lot in the area in terms of bars etc. so the vibe is really more for a luxury couple getaway - if you're looking for a party you may prefer one of the other beaches.
The view from the room is tough to leave.
Restaurant Tip:
BTS (Better Than Sex) is a beautiful bar about a five minute walk from the hotel, where you'll find great food, awesome cocktails and a lovely choice of lounge-y beanbags or garden seating. Would count as a cool space to hang out anywhere in the world.
