Quiet hotel, two pools, close to 7-Eleven and a wide selection of fruit shakes. Far from shopping and Haad Rin beach. Bad beach at the hotel. The hotel is a bit in from the fantastic beach Haad Rin (powder white sand). Best beach in the whole of our trip. Takes five minutes by motorbike or 15 minutes to walk (hot and uphill). At Haad Rin is the shopping. The hotel makes good fruit shakes and has a lot to choose from. The swimming pool is a good standard, and nice views of the sunset. The beach at the hotel are so bad that it was not possible to swim there. Several things on the restaurant menu did not exist.

Beachside hotel with pool Looks nothing like the website
Rooms are basic and tired

Hotel towels old and need throwing away This hotel is old and tired and not worth staying in. The island itself is an economy set up full-mooning and as such has plenty of backpacker/bungalow accomodation that I would recommend staying in and is cheap if no full moon party is going on. The rooms are tired and old, the breakfast rubbish and the pool towels and sunbeds dirty and in need of replacing.
Hotel Feature Tip : don't try and walf to it along the beach with your luggage as is a difficult walk

2 pools,nice rooms, great sunset internet access is really expensice compared to other hotels great place to stay on koh phangan. nice hotel. we stayed in a deluxe room and it was worth it for the extra 10 dollars a night. sunsets are really nice and its only 10min walk to the other beach where all the parties are. 2 pools was also handy

the position of the hotel is perfect it is close enough to walk to the main part of the resort yet feel completely remote...the beachfront location is the hotels best feature the accomodation was not of the best standard...even the bungelows had a slightly tired feel and were not layed out very well the hotel has a deceiveingly grand foyee and the staff appeared ill prepared for our arrival. we were first shown to a twin room when our booking clearly stated a bungelow, after some discussion the reception agreed that we were indeed in a bungelow, although these were slightly disappointing. the location of the swimming pool and retaurant right on the beach are a big plus and makes a great setting for dinner
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : mellow mountain bar at the end of the beach well worth the walk good music and great views

Closeness to the Full Moon Party beach, Friendly and helpful staff. Not great on value for money. The resort provided the ideal place from which to enjoy the Full Moon festival. A mere five minute walk from the party but sheltered from the noise when and if you decide to sleep.
Two pools means no overcrowding pool side and all the facilities are safe and clean.
The staff are exceptionally polite, friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our transfer of the island and they were willing to sort it out for us.
I fully recommend the resort for its location on party day.
Nightlife Tip : The beach down the road on Full Moon Festival. The best party in the world.

the hotel is very beautiful, nice pools and garden. helpful staff. Monsoon rain when we were there, nothing else. a green garden with beautiful butterflies flying around, 2 nice pools, a short walk to shopping, seven eleven just outside the walls, the staff is really friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant is good too! internet service is expensive (as in all hotels in Thailand.. and the rest of the world). the beach is just next to the lower pool and the restaurant which results to a very nice view from the restaurant. I definitely recommend you to stay here if you're goin to koh Pha Ngan!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : GO SCUBA DIVING!

Bad service, average food, average breakfast. The main reason we stayed was the attractive price and nice photos. It took quite some time to check in for some reason. 10 min walk to the main beach. Much better accommodation available in the area. Even better yet don't stay at Hat Rin but get a boat, head for Had Yeow, nice beach, quieter, cheap accommodation and still easy access to party areas if u are so inclined.
Shopping Tip : Used book stores are a rip off.

2 swiming pool, nice room, computer in the room not in the center of haad rin, brakfast outside but ok the hotel is very nice, the room was great, with view to the swiming pool, there is balcony in the room. buffe brakfast that include many things
there are 2 swiming pool one is deep and the other one is not so deep bet it is next to the sea you sit in the pool and look on the sea. they have praivet beach also enjoy....

Cleanliness, room standarts we started are trip in koh phangan with a big disapointment. we ordered delux room and it was terrible. after 10 min. we meat same people how told us that the regular rooms are good so we chacked them and irnickly it was better. the room are low standart but the location is far from the croude and noise places. 10 min. by walking you are in the center of the island.
Restaurant Tip : good restaurant at the center.

The hotel had a lovely View of the sunset and Ko Samui. Views to die for. Pool was nice.Only 10 min walk to Had Rin. Staff wasn't very helpful at all. Very basic service. The rooms could have been updated a bit. Air Con didn't work, and we weren't able to use the safe. When the island had a power cut, none of the emergency lights switched on our floor and room.
If you want a lovely view of the sunset whilst relaxing with a drink and peace and quiet, then this is perfect. However everything else was satisfactory.

great location, lovely pools, (some) friendly staff some unfriendly and unhelpful staff this resort was... ok. having read the reviews and done a bit of research, i was expecting a little bit more - having said that, for the price it was really quite acceptable. ended up staying for a total of 10 nights - partially due to apathy and partially for the location - close to haad rin (east) but far away enough to be quiet - except when the coral bungalows next door were having a party! (3 times while we were there - loud music until the early hours of the morning!!).

Probably the best resort on Koh Pen Gan. If you feel like a bit of luxury on the party island then this is the place for you.
Nightlife Tip : Coral Bungalows have a pool party couple of times a month and its only a five min walk down the beach.

Helps that they had an expat working the front counter. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Nightlife Tip : Islands got every type of "moon" party. Doesn't really matter when you go!
